QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Apr 1 2009, 03:55 PM)
u mean 1/16 which has d ability to unlock d cache? give yaself sometimes in tweakin, w/ some luck u mite able to clock it as gud as 1/16 bios but w/ extra cache.  nod.gif

max clock for both?  hmm.gif
Bios 1-16 cannot unlock the cache but can oc at stock 3302
Bios 2-24 can unlock the cache but can oc stable at 3250 ... (at 3302 will bsod restart) tried ACC all 0% same, AUTO (This is the one cause cpu is unlock) but cannot see cpu temp
Unlock cache here will cause CPU temp become 0'C only

Means bios 2-24 overclocking is same as other bios.. only the best oc is 1-16...
Headache... =.=
i'll try add voltage for nb or sb maybe later...

there is many type of pc user... same for OC'er, some is OC for better performance/gaming, some is OC for benching, some is OC for fun...

so if u is the 1 who OC for better performance/gaming only, thn i would say sure u will stop OC once u get the performance u want it..

but for a benching OCer, thy will nvr stop, thy will grow day by day until bcome a EXTREME OCer, ply with DIce/LN2 even LHe brows.gif

want to know what ht multiplier does to cpu
*
Does nothing... It is the board Hypertransport....
if board hypertransport multi X10 and CPU htt = 200
The Hypertransport will be 10 X 200 = 2000

So in early overclocking ... the HT multi is drop to gain stability for the board.... since we increasing the cpu HTT...
It goes same to NB multi ... It is cpu nb cache kinda....
only the rules we need to follow is NB Multi X Cpu HTT >/ HT Multi X Cpu HTT

>/ = Same or Equal
