acc does work on deneb in some cases, thou very few of 'em.

d fancy heatpipes + others are just gimmick to me. i've tried that board b4, d heatpipe aint really performin gud as i got full load temp @ ~60'C. i can have better temp w/ diy or 3rd party coolers. well, i got nothing to say bout d extra raid controller thou, it mite be useful for those who need extra sata ports & performance on raid. but i faced no problem w/ sb600 on raid, be it on ta690g or ax78 or even d ut. guess i'm lucky enuf.

to each their own but ut board is not gonna be in my wish list, not until i have lotsa extra cash which i dunno how to spend (very unlikely).

no doubt full digital pwm is better, but if it get hot easily + not cooled properly, wouldn't that make it similar to a properly cooled x-phase digital pwm?

gotta admit that 4 + 1 phase is a 'lil too few, but considerin d price i paid i couldn't ask for more. heck, even msi 790gx plat & giga's 790gx (same amount of power phase) are sellin bout $20 bux more expensive than d fxb.

i agreed that ut is a great board but how many of us expect sb can greatly influence d oc mileage of amd chips? there are many cases proved that chips (be it agena or deneb) clock better on sb750 boards, so for now i wouldn't ignore importance of d newer sb. RM400 for an ut board is definitely worth it, but older tech vs newer tech issue (sb) make it a give and take scenario. it all depends on which one u choose. for me, i'll take better oc mileage for sure.

d surface of those components (are those regs???) are very small, i doubt that u can put anything on 'em (even to stick something small like small chipset coolers), to make thing worse, there is no mountin holes...

no, those tr mosfet cooler can't sit properly on those digital regs imo, d surface are way to small to withstand d weight. best bet is gettin el-cheapo mosfet coolers from uglyvamp (like those i use on ta790gx but lower profile), they're very lite & cheap, but still, i can't guarantee that will work unless u put gam gajah...

dun forget u need certain clearance for d cpu cooler as well...

again, i'd say bios is d culprit. but if biostar hardware monitor is showin correct temp, why are u so bothered? if u want cpuid hwmonitor to work, try out others bios. for sure 790gx 128M can support 45nm chips, x3 720 b.e is d perfect example.

they were partly rite as higher clock speed leads to higher temp, but it's diff process (nm thingy) & minor changes in architecture we're talkin here. i'm convinced that deneb is a 'lil cooler than agena if not a lot after i tested x3 720b.e myself.

just d matter of time b4 u switch to better board...

for official bios it's ok to use d windows based flasher (come w/ d cd), but if beta bios u better off flashin 'em w/ dos based flasher.

is there any significant diff in stability in runnin on low ht link freq coz i noticed that always underclock it? i guess u learn it from those reviews where they lower d ht link freq just to push for higher clock. am i rite?

go to bios, under advance > cpu configuration > acc, put it as disable.

another lazier way is to use aod, just set d acc to disable then do a restart will do.

aod & c&q & c1e are diff things lah bro...

to be fair to biostar, their bios are quite rich oso, but what irked me bout biostar boards was d ami bios & d "a 'lil bit buggy bios (earlier version)". other than that, i got no complaint. as for gettin familiar w/ d bios, spend some quality times tweakin here & there then one is gud to go.

i do it support only bro, sales is not my type...

u got 2 options imo, either stick w d board & downgrade ya chip to am3 variant (less heaty) + gain some $$$ or go d costly way - sell of d board & go for goldfi. for me, 940b.e on biostar is a 'lil overkill, some more w/ 4 phase of pwm, it'll be better to run lower wattage chips than d higher ones. just my 2 cents thou...

trust me bro, any bios older than 2/24 are as gud as hopeless in gettin d 4th core stable, but bios 2/24 was d best for tricore oc back then.

if biostar can improve on their bulit quality & change to better theme (not d lego like theme), i'd say they are gud to give dfi a gud fite.

imo d quality setting is d main killer bro, followed by diff in os (we're talkin bout few hundreds points discount here) then only d slight advantage of havin newer architecture.
