Didn't mean to dig up this ancient topic, but I just want suiteng to know that luckily her tenant is ignorant and m'sian police is incompetent.
1) A landlord has NO RIGHTS to enter a rented premise without consent from the tenant, regardless of the tenancy agreement, unless the tenant is breaking some basic laws like fire safety laws (i.e. which also means you are breaking the same laws) 2) You need to give 3 months notice to evict a tenant. 3) It is against the law to hold someone else's legal identification unless you are the guardian or an authorized enforcement officer, like a police. (yes, this means the security guards in those corporate buildings are breaking the law too by holding your I.C.) http://www.lawyerment.com.my/real_estate/lt.shtml http://www.globalpropertyguide.com/Asia/Ma...lord-and-Tenant Better check with some knowledgeable real estate friends before taking matters into own hands. |
