QUOTE(kianwee @ Apr 14 2009, 02:19 PM) I have the same question before but remained unanswered. Therefore I went to experience myself, I prefer X10 more on same source and default color setting. That's when I decided to go for X10 even though it is not FULL HD. I prefer better contrast ratio than resolution. Thanks for your reply..here is a link for plasma vs lcd for HDTV, worth a readPlasma vs LCDBased on the review, plasma seems to be better in terms of home theater and gaming usage for HDTV Can you elaborate more details on the source u used to compare on the lcd and plasma? |

QUOTE(kianwee @ Apr 14 2009, 03:22 PM) I brought my WDTV player there and test, the Panasonic sales person is kind enough to hook up for me. Tested a few *.mkv such as The Dark Knight and Iron Man, a few SD *.avi as well. Stood around 6 feet away and my eyes felt for the X10 immediately. I believe 720p and 1080p mkv files works well on both platforms and the differences are very minor and almost not noticeable.Just wonder if non-HD source like rmvb files for drama in example, will plasma does better work than the lcd? QUOTE(dehantu @ May 6 2009, 12:35 PM) Hi... when you said break in 100hrs... means... continue on for 100hrs is it? or on and off? How can I check the hours? I believe the break in 100 hours is calculated by your own..On and off i'm not sure but if you choose to on and off just be aware of your plasma aspect ratio set to 16:9 and lowest contrast & brightness before your plasma reach 100hours break in. My plasma is approx 200hrs w/o break in, so i m asking whether my plasma still nid to run the break in? |
