Don't worry about the heat and lifetimes. The plasmas work at higher temperatures. This is the nature of the panels. They have very capable temperature sensors and overcurrent protectors that will shut off should it reach critical temperatures. This is a requirement. So don't worry about the heat generated and the long hours viewing time.

i set contrast to 100%, with dynamic mode during 100hr run-in (the rest at default), 30s with SDHC mode and looping. if u r using SDHC, make sure u chg the setting in picture viewing mode. how much u bought yours? welcome to the club.

Should we set higher contrast and brightness during break in period or lower?  I keep searching for the previous post, some said we should lower down the contrast and brightness during the 1st 100 -200 hours of break in but some said we should set it to higher constrast and brightness by using dynamic mode with the break in dvd.  Anyone can advise?

setting high is to expedite the burn-in process, afaik some prefer low due to worry of overheating or to play safe just in case hiccup happen
