i dont think toy defect should blame toy shop, the manufacturer should b blamed~ i got my stock today and doesn't mean others who got earlier are ko or rejected stock. xl got their shop 1st in town, does it mean they bring all rejected stock to sell?

when getting a new toy from a toy shop, open it on the spot in front of the shop owner/assistant, i am sure they will replace it if there is a serious defect or missing parts, but dun blame the paint chipped lar, or loosen lar, color not nice lar, box dented lar, etc...

sorry to hear about your story. i agree wif u, there are many different type of seller, especially ebay. if he/she really cheated u, then he got 1 chance only dealing wif u. his business end its way...

for some items such as vintage toy or toy that already stop production, u might have to double check wif the seller, u cant blame after u accepted it.

sometimes, there are really good offer which too good to b true~ i remember before tf movie, back in year 2006, i managed to bring in a bunch of binaltech (including wheeljack, prowl, laserwave), selling at very low price, if not mistaken, RM120 ea, or buy 6 for RM600. those are original, brand new & good item, customer happy wif it, no regret

simple, check the comman seal, at the bottom of the box~ C0200, imported from hk, check those "imported" from japan 1, c whether same or not~
even for the recent e-hobby sunstorm & black megatron, japan e-hobby stock and local distributed stock are having the same code... the only different is... japan stock come wif extra sticker sheet & comics~

good: super possable masterpiece, very g1 accurate, complete weapon & accessories (no need to get extra from fans made). whole thing is dam solid, joints fit very weel, dinobot mode looks great, even my parents oso like it~

bad: supprisingly short compare to mp prime... mayb it design to match classics prime~ for the fist, masterpiece should have individual finger, like prime, megatron, starscream, so can do more action~ sword and gun feel kidish, compare to mp prime weapons, prime's 1 more realistic~
