Got MP-8 grimmy...
One solid piece of plastic/diecast..
Gold-silver chroming on the die-cast parts are a-bit dull/uneven..
brain transfer unit cord is soft rubbery, not too stretchy, like wire insulator without the copper core..
Box same height and width as MP-3/MP-5/MP-6/MP-7, but almost 2x the depth

pics to come...

MP-8, not bigger than MP-05 in height, but maybe in volume/weight (Megatron 500g, Megatron+Scope =610g)... Height in Robot mode slightly taller than Star Scream

One thing that is amazing on MP-8 is the ability to light up the hand with the batteries and switch so far away.

The electrical circurt goes through 2 split joints with almost 360 degrees turning, double jointed elbows and the flipping wrist... That some inovation.. If anything is likely to fail is the lighting mechanism

Anyone got their MP Grimlock? It's really a nice piece really nice I never owned the vintages.

But... seems the paint QC still not as good as expected. Mine had some small chips on the chrome parts on his tail (other than the cut edges), the grey plastic parts on his dino chest seems to have markings (darker grey random lines) identical left & right. His dino feet gold metal parts seems have some cutting scratches on the sides.

Also the light button i is not On/Off i need to hold it for lights up.

Was wondering is this normal problems?
Random darker grey lines are caused by ABS plastic injection during moulding, with grey/silvery plastic this is more obvious. If you built models with silvery/grey runners (like Bandai's Gundam/scale cars) you notice the ramdom darker grey markings. Seems silvery particles do not mix well...

For some reason, chroming of die-cast/metal (like grimlock's and megatron's feet) parts for MP series have been bad. Chroming on plastics are however good.

The switch is meant to be that, do some modding or soldering if you want a different switch.. by switching the switch (pun intended)
