RM170 for the Superion Upgrade Set is outrageous! The price is just absurd! I might as well use the money to buy another Superion or Bruticus. Heck I'll just add some money to the RM170 and pay a hiked up Devastator and I get the satisfaction of all three combiners.

TFboy, TakaraTomy's ROTF line will not have any chrome. Its so obvious from what we've seen; Legends to Leader. Both on their official website and also other pictures. There is NO chrome.

The difference they'll have is probably the usual different paint applications and if we're lucky, extra parts like on Takara's BB74. We've already seen different paint applications on Prime's shoulder detail. Its not chrome on Legends Class Prime's chest, its not shiny enough. If you take a picture of chrome parts, they'll shine a lot.

Where did you get the tip that they'll have chrome, anyway?

I saw the ROTF Preview today, didn't get em... Saw at Carrefour. BB looks funny posed. The new box is certainly very very nice.

That's confirmed as Grindor ? I highly doubt it... Its gonna be another 'Desert' repaint lol

I just got both Preview toys!

So you see, I left the shop happily with both preview toys.

I went home, set up my tripod, set up the white background, prepped my camera to take some badass pictures of 'badass' toys. They were bad.

Then I proceeded to open the toys. I said to myself "Ah, Soundwave first, since I already know about Bumblebee's mold" Or so I thought...

I opened Soundwave and I never felt so disappointed in my life. He doesn't peg into anything anywhere in any of his 'triple' modes. His torso constantly flops up and down like no tomorrow, the faux face doesn't hold the torso at all. The legs don't peg together forever in satellite and vehicle mode. Trust me, I never pushed the big fin against the legs. His hips are terrible, they don't help with his bulky top. I packaged him up after 10 minutes.

Then I thought Bumblebee might cheer me up! Its a great mold and all...
I was wrong. The plastic just feels slightly more brittle than the previous molds.. His torso is also quite loose. Either way, robot mode is so-so.
Then I thought! Aha! Alternate mode must be damn sweet! So I proceeded to transform him. Everything was fine, until the thigh armors wouldn't peg into the rear of the car properly, the rear windows don't peg in together. One of the windows have this gap between it and the rear of the car.

Then came the front part, I transformed everything naturally until the windscreen kept bending backwards cause the arms kept pulling them down. The doors don't align properly. I force the door down. It strains the plastic. I rechecked everything, including looking through the damn instructions for like 10 times. He'll be staying in robot mode and probably in package later.
