Wondering to get a E5 to pair with my PL-20 or get the PL-30. Any suggestion will be much appreciate.

I ordered my PL-30 from Focalprice last Sunday... hopefully by next week can arrive

Can't wait to get my hands on em and give it a spin... I needed something to replace my EP-630 (which IMHO is seriously one of the really value bang for buck IEM out there esp for bassheads)

PL30 is not really bassy iem imo....

Yeah I heard about that.. but its alright because when I wanna go for more bass rock/hip hop songs I'll switch back to my EP-630.. basically I just want to try something new and well.... I kena poison kau kau from the people at Head-fi on the PL-30

I matched my PL20 with PA2V2 for the first time last night and found that PA2V2 improved the bass in term of detail. The source was Dell AXIM. Before having the amp plugged in, the bass was there, but lacked of detail, or sounded flat.
PA2V2 was known to improve the low frequency but I found no significant difference on sound quality when pairing it with Koss KSC-75. Never thought it made significant improvement on this PL20. I'm glad that I keep the PA2V2 although I seldom use it. I'm gonna use it more

PL20 usually synergy well with warm amp Those who get PL20 can try with FIIO E3 or E5 as entry level amp, does improve the bass performance alot

If this compared with sonic gear earpump, how's the result? Coz i planned to buy earpump, but hesitate after i saw this. Can anyone clarify?

never try sonic gear earpump,but till now still dun hv good impression on sonic gear product..

i'm sure earpum cant beat soundmagic in terms of clarity. but the bass quantity i guess earpump would be better than PL20.

Used both. I would say EarPump <<< PL20. in terms of clarity & SQ.
just add like RM 10 and u can get a way better IEM than SG EP.

the sound isolation good?

PL20 + E5 = clarity + bassy.
currently trying this combo listening to Robert Miles "Children".

PL20's isolation is nice, the eartip fit just nicely~

When pair the PL-20 with E5, the E5 do just improve the bass alone or do improve both the clarity and bass as well? How is this combo compare to bijou 4 alone without any amp?

PL20 shows significant difference when paired with amp, especially the bass.

Bijou..... to be honest, just slight difference, and perhaps negligible.

then how is the SQ and solidity of bass of bijou 4 compare with the PL 20 with E5 amped?

Good idea. Will try this setup when I'm free and then post my review here.

Hopefully will hear from you as soon as possible. I am consider between PL-30 and bijou 4 as my next upgrade target. Since the PL-20 with amped E5 may similar to PL-30, so i may wish to see your review soon.
