In conjunction with CYBERFUSION2009
MMU GDC ( Multimedia University Game developers' club) is organizing a game AI coding competition.

Prize: 1st ( Worth RM1000)
2nd ( Worth RM500)


Date:10/04/09
Venue:MMU Grandhall


Type of competition :
Game AI.
In simple words , we provide you the platform of the game and there is a game play character inside.What you have to do is to code the
AI for the character to complete the game.The AI which gets the highest score win.

Rules and Regulation:
1.)Participants must be above or at least 18 years old.
2.)Participants must bring along their student card for verification during the competition.
3.)Each group must consist of 2 persons.
4.)Only open to students from local universities and colleges.
5.)Open book.
6.)No online resource is allowed during competition.
7.)Coding in C++ and Java.
8.)Codes must be able to compile with g++ (for C++) or standard SUN tools (for Java).


For your information , we will be having a warm up match on 04/04/09.The purpose of warm up match is to reveal the type of question that will
be use on the actual competition date which is on 10/04/ 09.The warm up match is going to be held inside MMU FIT lab.

Sounds like the standard e-genting programming competition. Anyone participating?

I'm thinking about joining, but I don't have any friends interested (too bad solo is not allowed anymore) -___-
I'll try to come to the warm up match today to look at the sample question. Or is there a way to look at the questions without needing to come to MMU? I have transport problem > <
Maybe someone can upload the sample question somewhere so that I can take a look. Or is that illegal?

We had decided that solo is allow for those who want to solo , the sample question will be uploaded to the mmugdc.com/gamefest website in these few days , those who cant attend the warm up match can download the sample question from our website.Any enquiries , dun hesitate to email me at edvinnlai@yahoo.com .

Thank you! Seeing the question, it's going to be a tough one. ><
There's something I want to ask about the game. It's mentioned in the readme file that the game ends when the wumpus is killed, and you can kill it with a bullet. I don't know how to fire the bullet...

use ur up down left right key to determine the direction and press 'a' to attack =D

The CodePlay 2 will start tomorrow. I have less than 24 hours to practice! ><
By the way, will it start exactly at 9 a.m, or later than that? If it starts at 9 a.m, then I suppose I have to come earlier.
Hopefully, more people will join by tomorrow. The more the happier! I can only see 8 names in the registered list.. -__-

u might see more ppl on the spot later.. So called, usual student habit... last minute registration.
