QUOTE(memphis @ Apr 2 2009, 06:45 PM) i dont know the fees now, heard that its increases every year..for cost of living, its all depend on ur lifestyle tho...depend on what type of hostel rent, what type of food u eat, transport n oso if u a shoppaholic or not..huhu...for average low profile student, u need atleast arounf rm600 monthly excluding hostel and utility bils...my agent is Nugrahan...i still think that it is the best agent...FYI, U need to pay your fees tru them annually...u can pay it directly but very hectic n fussy...most of other agent will let u off after the 1st year... i don't understand why even tuition fees needs to be paid through agents, and why it should be 'fussy' to pay direct to the uni....... that suggests to me the agent continues to take a cut of the fees in subsequent years.......

QUOTE(memphis @ Apr 5 2009, 06:28 PM)
I dont know which system U meant but from what i know, All uni here will change their system from lecturer-student oriented to problem based oriented...then i oso heard that JPA will stop sending all medical and dental student to indonesia...its still on discussion tho..but every month JPA people will meet the student and people from U to check if the got any improvement.....the problem now is there are many of "super senior" who still not graduated...and they blame the Uni for it...
the uni will shoulder a major part of the blame for this situation......for NOT selecting their students in the proper manner........and NOT daring to expel these students who do not perform.......

QUOTE(seyuripa @ Apr 7 2009, 08:15 PM) Btw,for my fees according to my agent,I need to pay around 40K for the 1st year so it's quite true to say that the 1st year is more than twice the fees for the fees of the following years....
why is it so?......usually, the preclinical years are cheaper than the clinics......

all the 3rd world countries suffers from one basic intrinsic defect.....that is, a propensity to corruption........and this extends to education in general, and particularly dangerous in medical education.......
we have all seen comments about the buying of 'passes' at exams......that appears to occur in the countries people commonly go for medical education, ie russia, india, indonesia, now egypt.......
yes, it happens in msia too........except it is not so much buying them, as being 'given' to sections of the student population........finals questions being given in mock exams (conducted for selected groups of students), extra marks being given so fails can be made passes etc.......this all happens at ipta........
and any university selecting students based on religion and ethincity should be banned and boycotted......and guess what?........we have at least one such here in msia........

The language medium used is Indonesian. is there any public uni in indonesia where the medium of instruction is other than indonesian?......btw, the 2nd language there is dutch, the previous colonial power........
