Hartalega Holdings Bhd’s earnings fell in the third quarter and nine-months ended Dec 31, 2014 on lower lower average selling prices and higher production costs.

The world’s largest synthetic glove manufacturer reported its earnings fell 14.4% to RM49.52mil in the third quarter from RM57.88mil a year ago. Revenue however increased 6.9% to RM286.41mil from RM267.82mil.

Earnings per share were lower at 6.39 sen compared with 7.81 sen. It declared an interim dividend of three sen.

For the nine-months ended Dec 31, 2014, its earnings fell 15.9% to RM154.76mil from RM184.06mil in the previous corresponding period. However, revenue rose just 1.7% to RM840.85mil from RM826.78mil.

Despite these challenging market conditions, Hartalega was confident of sustaining its long-term growth with its capacity expansion plans via the Next Generation Integrated Glove Manufacturing Complex (NGC).

In January 2015, Hartalega commissioned the first two productions lines of the NGC.

Well, there have been several good news over the year, like the plans to build three more plants, slowdown of some glove suppliers in China, stronger-than-expected quarterly profits, etc. but I would have thought that it would have been priced in already.
Not sure if I missed any major good news.

If not mistaken waiting FDA approval and will launch somewhere in Q1 2019.

Price not moving? Maybe too expensive already but the stocks have had many bonus issues in the past.
