hi all.

this is amanda.

i would like to install parallel d. to my macbook pro, but my machine is bought for about three years, never upgrade, nothing, version 10.5.8.
original spec:
processor 2.4GHZ intel core 2 duo, memory 2GB 667mhz ddr2 SDRAM .. etc.

1. so, should i upgrade it and what should i upgrade before install parallel d.?

2. the main reason is to run Autocad window on it, although there is a new launch for Autocad Mac and i actually installed autocad mac (student version- from lecturer); still i get used to autocad window as mac version is slightly different. basically i use the desktop (non mac but customized pc from IT agent) at home for autocad, 3d max; but it is more convenient if i could do autocad work with a mobile laptop.

kindly pm me if you could advise me in detail. (eg. how to get parallel d. besides buying online and where should i go to upgrade the macbook)

appreciate your reply. thank you. biggrin.gif

1. not upgrading will be fine, but if u can, upgrade ur RAM to 2x2gb. u can feel the performance improvement. u can buy RAMs at normal pc shops n normally they can help u install, so bring ur mbp along

2. most apple resellers do sell the parallel desktop dvd. dont forget u need a copy of windows too, most PC shops should have them. a 32-bit one should be enough.
