haa that's ur problem i got it before too. i believe this is a common bug in bootcamp, saw quite a number of people experiencing this as well. doesnt have anything to do with secure erase

this is what happened. the FIRST time we partition the hdd for bootcamp, as u know OSX creates a partition to install windows on it. so we go ahead n install windows, blablabla, everything went fine.

but when one day we decide to Merge as a Single Partition, somehow the merging didnt delete some data stuck at the bootcamp partition. im not familiar with the technicalities, but it's something like we have some leftover files stuck at where the bootcamp partition was. we do stil end up with a single partition though.

because of this stuck leftover data, we get that error. those 'files cannot be moved' are referring to those data.

sometimes defragging works for some reason. the only sure-fire way i know to fix this is to clone ur system to an external HDD, erase the internal hdd, and clone back.

the weird thing i notice is that this occurs a lot more on bootcamp 3.0. i only got it a few times in bootcamp 2.0, and i NEVER got it during the beta +_+

good! in that case u can clone ur system to the 320 hdd 1st

maybe other forumers can provide a better solution

^ if im not mistaken, juz install windows 7 64bit 1st using 3.0.2. when u're done, log into windows an open the 3.1 .exe from there. i think the update are just drivers.

u can make a virtual machine based on ur boot camp partition. so u do something in the VM, log out OSX, log in bootcamp, the changes are there

u can also choose to create a brand new VM, not based on ur boot camp partition. obviously this takes up more space and u need another windows license for this

^ if u've used a PC before u should know how much. depends what u wanna do with it. for me, 30gb is enough. others may recommend u 60gb or higher.

well the real cause (as i've read) is because windows n mac handles the system time differently. sorry i couldnt understand how or why, n i havent found a good fix for this.

yes automatic time update only works when u're connected to the internet

funny how this problem never gets solved ever since bootcamp beta. it's not even a one off problem either, im pretty sure everyone using bootcamp is having this problem

no problem. you'll have a choice of installing a fresh windows system, or use ur bootcamp system as a virtual machine.

n yeap, it'll use ur mac's internet connection to go online. dun have to configure anything, no need to install any drivers

errr i dont think so, since it's a single system anyway. maybe others can clarify on this

that's because ur windows7 on PD5 is a virtual machine. it doesnt even know what GPU u have, much less actually taking advantage of it. another thing is that u're using more resources to run two OS at once

for performance, bootcamp is the way. i guess u need to go reinstall bootcamp again to play ur games

both xp n 7 are good. im not sure how's the new drivers for windows7 is performing though

OSX w/o or w/ bootcamp got no difference, unless ur HDD is almost full.

office 2011 for mac will include a proper outlook client, so u wont need PD anymore hehe

i dont use desktop 5 (only up til 4) but try to find the Settings page for your VM (i think it only works when the VM is not running). there should be an option to share the network with OSX

1st of all, i nvr played dota on VM before so i cant comment much. but 2.66ghz wont be much of an improvement against 2.4ghz for gaming. if 2.66 can, im pretty sure 2.4 can play also.
