Do not tell anybody your password or user ID la.. if u want to know whether it being used, u can see from transaction history.. you should know your own transaction.. if you found other transaction u didn't know.. can call your bank for confirmation..

I am asking how to prevent your banking info (account number) being used by others? Like the recent cases where A wants to buy from B, but then pretends to sell something to C, and asks C to bank in the money to B's account, without delivering the goods which A pretends to sell to C in the end. Therefore, C will think that the conman is B, judging from the banking account info given.

Only trade using COD smile.gif

Request for their info like e-mail, phone number, address, IC etc so even if it's a con case, you can track them down. Make sure the info is real la.. lol

Ask them to show proof of payment (cash deposit machine receipt) with your e-mail/phone number hand written on it.

If it's online maybank2u transfer, make sure they insert your e-mail. So when the victim see's a different e-mail, he/she will suspect something and maybe contact you

IMO, bank transfer/online transfer are only eligible for postage and strictly prohibited for COD. So that B at least able to obtained conman A's address when both of them dealing.

Yeah I'm looking into this matter too.
I think COD best is as it stated...cash on delivery.
For postage.I think its better to request paying slip from the buyer.

At least this can minimize the CON case you are referring

1. Request for Bank in Slip, Cash Deposit or Screenshot for Online Transfer

2. For Courier, compare the receiver name with the person who bank in. IF not the same, you have to double check. Some will give excuse they ask relative or friends to bank in for them. Proceed with cautions

Example ~ Bank in Person is Mr Ali, but address to send the item he order is Mr Lim, then you have to be extra careful.

Yup this is the best suggestion, also, supposedly the person B will hv all the contact no, name and address of the conman wut, can pay the conman a visit smile.gif
