You guys do know that airfares offered on airlines' own websites aren't necessarily the cheapest, yea?

Promotional fares are definitely cheaper. Otherwise, it isn't a promotion, right?

Non-commissionable airfare has to be cheaper than commissionable ones, otherwise the travel agent might as well go bankrupt.

There is no right and wrong to getting the best deal. Purchasing a ticket 3 months out does not imply you are getting the cheapest deal. Promotion might kick in 1-2 months before your travel. But then again, if you just wait and not do anything, there might not be ANY promotion! Then you'll end up with expensive fares. The point is, buy when you think the time and price are right. If a cheaper deal appears later down the track, too bad, try again next time. If nothing happens, thank god I got a pretty awesome deal! biggrin.gif

I bought my Grab-A-Deal ticket last Sunday night but did not receive my e-ticket. Called up MAS the next day asking them to resend they said they will send. Few hours later still haven't received. Then called up again.. and provided alternate email address. They said they will send and i should be able to receive by end of Monday or latest Tuesday morning. Still didn't receive anything on Tuesday so i sent them an email instead cos i fed up of calling (have to wait for at least 15 minutes before someone answers your call). Now it's already Friday and still i didn't get any reply nor my e-ticket. Very good. mad.gif

MAS service is worse than Airasia. Last time i made some changes on my Airasia booking but didn't receive the amended itinerary. I called up Airasia and got my itinerary on the same day.

Talk about 5-star. shakehead.gif

Quite amazing you still believe MH is a full service carrier. Remember a simple fact of life - you get what you paid for!

IIRC, extra luggage allowance for students only applies to Australia and UK routes.
