Im wondering should I buy macbook pro now ?
I am currently in USA . I'm not sure whether should I buy mac book pro in USA or Malaysia. Any difference in price ? as for warranty, since its international warranty i dont think its a problem to claim warranty.
Also, I am aware the Snow leopard OS will be releasing this sept. THus should I wait for it or buy now ?
Any opinions would help. Thanks
Added on July 31, 2009, 2:16 pmAlso, how do we get student discount in Malaysia ? I checked the apple site for malaysia, i couldnt find the student discount. however in the us site, i can find it easily.

QUOTE(pizza0502 @ Aug 3 2009, 06:39 PM) Hi, I wanna ask is it i can buy MacBook from US or others country apple official website?did they ship to Malaysia? and wat different with new and refurbish macbook?is the refurbish 1 ok? of cuz you caan buy mac book from us .. just that you ahve to bear the cost of international postage and probably being taxed by malaysia custom . apple has malaysia apple store.. why dont you buy from there ? refurbish macbook might be product with detects previously and has been fixed right now. it might be a return product previously too. But, apple would make sure it is functioning well before selling it again . However its your own risk to get a reburbished macbook as there might be unseen problem too =) . tats why it is cheaper.

haha ya first apple product in my life. Still worried about engineering program. But I think I can sort it out with parallel desktop if I really need to use a software in window.

QUOTE(fyire @ Sep 9 2009, 11:38 AM) You might want to check with those in the same engineering course as you on what are the software that they use to see if its suitable for running within a virtual machine or not. If its something rather heavy and resource hungry, then you might want to consider dual booting (bootcamp) instead, but if its something small to medium sized, then a VM should be alright. I'll recommend vmware over parallels though. I have not started my course yet. Im not very sure what software Im gonna need. But I guess worse comes to worst, I will just use bootcamp to gain higher performance for window. If not, I will just stick with MacOS. one question here, is Mini Displayport to VGA adapter the only choice for us to connect mbp to projector for presentation ? I saw some reviews stating that not all projectors are compatible using that adapter... And that adapter especcially doesnt work well with samsung products.
Are there alternatives adapter besides the apple one ?
