it feels hot because it's made out of aluminium, a good heat conductor on its own. that's why u see heatsinks made out of aluminium. it's better for the heat to transfer to the body and into the atmosphere (and ur hand) rather than trapped inside the laptop frying the components.

for education price u can only get it at the online store

i think mbp wont suit you if u still argue with the temperature.
50-60 is in idle state.
but can goes up to 90++ when doing raw graphic processing or video rendering.

..try a PC.

Yes you can either used it in two ways,
i) Boot Camp - you need to restart when you want to use Windows.
ii) Parallel/VMware/etc - You can use it together with Mac OS at the same times, just make sure your RAM is enough to support. and also, you need to buy da software.

Most of the time they don't give much discount at PC Fair, but they add some of goodies eg. RAM, thumb drive etc..

Hi ya all,

I plan on getting a macbook pro , either 13 inch or 15 inch. This is going to be my first apple computer :-)

I'm going to Singapore in the next few weeks so am wondering if it is cheaper to buy in Singapore. If so, how is the warranty if buying from overseas ?

Appreciate some advice from the gurus.

Thanks.
