anyone face this problem before?

After clickin start on the wii shop, the screen goes blank and remote also switches off... Noting works, only way to off the console is press the off button on the console.

This happens after i updated 4.0

btw, my console is "not mod"

I just tried it, updated my console y'day and I see no problems with Wii Shop.

This 'freezing' problem happens with the Wii quite commonly if you have WiiConnect24 on.

Solution: Give it some time to download/upload/load whatever it needs and you're screen/wiimote will come back on. If not, just hard-reset and try again.

Try updating the firmware again. My update fail 4 times before it was successfully completely updated (strange thing is, after the second fail, the interface update oredi and the load from SD icon appears on the screen, but clicking on it causes a blank screen). Maybe your update didn't complete.

So far so good with Firmware 4.0U. Can finally delete the Adventure Island game from the internal memory and keep the game in SD card.
