Hi all,

I've been looking for a topic regarding slot car. My search only found one mention from one user. I wonder if this is really not popular here in Malaysia.

I only know one place selling slot car set that is in Nikko MidValley. Only a few sets available. There used to be a shop in Hartamas Shopping Centre selling slot cars too. They even had a huge track in front of the shop. But when I went there again, the shop is no longer there.

Anybody here has the set or car?

Yes, unfortunately true. For the digital set, it starts from 1K+ for the set.

I have only one basic set, which is the Scalextric Rally Racing set, it contains a Subaru Impreza WRC and Toyota Corolla Wrc.
I also have 2 extra cars, both are Ford GT40's, one is a Mk1 and the other is a MK2.

RC Store only has a few (2 or 3) analog sets. The rest are digital. They are the distributor for SCX here in Malaysia. If I'm not mistaken it is 1/43 and 1/32.

If there is an available track (last time in Hartamas), then we need not to invest so much. Can just get the car.

Hi there...
Wat set u asking abt?Brand?Scale? Normally there got several type of slotcar... n several brand n manufacturer.. such as LIFE LIKE,TOMY AFX AURORAS,TYCO,JOHNNY LIGHTNING ,scaletrix n many more... If u try hunting and searching all those item here... no hope..i have been doing this for more than year. if ure lucky the price "potong leher ayam".

My advised to straight buy from the outsider dealer thru ebay... it's damn cheap compare than here.. somemore for surely u need some maintenance parts for tear n wear.. They come with a several scale.. H.O scale normally n O.O gauge oopss dat for the train set only.

If u need some info, here might be help.. But it's a scaletrix . the scale is 1/32 if im not mistaken..since i have the analogue n digital sets for both items.. Try to look at the Bangsar Shopping Centre..on the top floor.. go for a guy named JOE.. He's the one who can help u on this sick dreams of slot car.But for me The H.O scale a pretty nasty n better.. scale of 1/ 84 if this correct... coz this small scale cars damn fast like a lightning n no so easy to derail from the track.. This H.O scale u have to purchase direct from outsources.

If u having difficulty u can call me at this number 0162564134 .I'll try to solve ur case..but im not a seller.. perhaps maybe u could see the collections of mine starting from the RC car, plane n heli stuffs, train model sets, slotcars n maybe can exchange items n advised from where should start.bye!

Hi guys, if you're looking for a place to race your slot cars or would like to get started, I'll be glad to help. My friends and I have a permanent Scalextric Sport track set up in an apartment in Vista Panorama in Taman Bukit Permai, Cheras and we race in 1/32 scale in both analogue and digital mode. Sad to say, buying slot cars in KL is a bit of a hassle as there are only a couple of shops with a very limited range of cars available and at prices which you don't really want to pay. We buy our cars from online shops in UK and Australia. The service is fast, reliable and prices are very reasonable, even taking into account the cost of freight. You can view a video of our track on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mG-nbYtQO2U which will give you an idea of what we are running on. Any one who is interested in taking up the hobby is welcome to PM me for more details and info.

Hello, I'm new here. I was a Slot collector back in the 80's and now the 'virus' is back smile.gif.
I'm looking for a place/club to race and also for people interested in trade cars.
thanks
