Added on May 14, 2009, 1:59 pmbro, my radio ver is 1.10.25.18, how does it compare to yours?
where to download the radio version and how to flash it?
to check your usage. u can check via software. what i recommend is from SPB software house 1... oh sweat.. since i didnot use my xperia for phone call.. i have no idea how.. but i will check out n update here if i really found..hahaha...
to check for latest update RADIO...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=477801this thread will always update da official xperia radio n compatible radio from blackstone.
i think radio is newer is better.. so try to update to v1.14 n see.. i think u can see significant improvement and more battery consumption.. if u feel prefer the old 1.. then download da old 1 and reflash only.. it is easy.. hope u can do it and post some review here...thx thx

Hello peeps,
I'm interested in getting an xperia for my gf and me, we're looking for a stable device which doesn't give up on us as we're future doctors and we can't afford for the device to hang very often.
I heard from a fellow physician that the xperia is very laggy and the review is very bad. Some even said it takes very long to load files which are stored in the memory card for example maps for the GPS. Can somebody clarify this for me pls?
I would love to own 1 if possible.. Thanks !

@ongbs
Thanks for the reply. I'm using a nokia N70 now. The other phone which I have in mind is the palm centro due to it's responsiveness and also the wide application support for medical softwares.
A hands only wouldn't be able to really judge a phone right? Because it's only like 5-10 mins of trying the phone..
hihi, xperia by itself when u bought it if da xperia is using R1AA rom, then it will quite buggy and laggy.. but i hardly hung my xperia b4. R2AA is a lot more improvement over the R1AA. u can check which rom is using by going to Start -> settings -> System -> "device information"
SE will freely update to R2AA or even R3AA when they available for it.. xperia is quite a stable device compare to HTC 1.. caz HTC own-branded TouchFlo 3D 2 is a ram eater.. 20MB by default.. tat y will slow down da device a lot.
by default.. i still prefer xperia when i doesnt nid TF3D 2. im using garmin mobile XT n mapking n google maps for GPS navigation. it is best available device among the device i tried. (again, omnia, touch pro, touch hd). <- using radio v1.14.
loading maps from memory wont take long. but it do take sometimes.. btw, if u compare PDA to normal Phone GPS. PDA will be slower because of more thing to be load.
since u using N70 now. i believe Xperia is much more faster than ur N70 as long as u keep our device clean from useless software.

err, better you get a hands-on on actual use in phone store etc, as "laggy" definition id depends on individual.
Some ppl think 5s to load a file is slow but other devices may take upto 10s, so do you think 5s is "laggy'?
btw, which phone you are using now and which phone you got in your wish list?
thx bro for fast reply for me.. thx u yeah..
