Can la.. it's just not recommended and the image from the DT lens will be auto cropped..
quote from Sony website :
QUOTE
APS-C Size Capturing
In addition to full frame image capture, the A900 can also crop images to the APS-C size format, allowing the use of lenses designed specifically for APS-C sized image sensors

QUOTE
If you're using a designed-for-digital lens, which Sony calls "DT", then you'll want to use the APS-C lens mode, which uses a smaller area of the sensor. As a result, the resolution drops to 11 Megapixel, and a 1.5X focal length conversion ratio takes effect.

amadeo: so you will recommend me to get the twin lens kits? The street price that you mention must get at camera shop or Sony Center? Really I don't know much of the lenses. mind to share some indepth knowledge? I try browse the web for 55-200mm but not much review given. ohmy.gif
*
street price = local dealers such as from sg.wang shops or lowyat..

QUOTE(nles @ Mar 31 2009, 02:03 AM)
the 55-200mm lens that came with the kit is quite sharp. Maybe even better than the 18-70 kit lens.
*
yeah definitely better than 1870 icon_rolleyes.gif
