QUOTE(Sp00kY @ Mar 28 2009, 10:39 PM) just bought my F42 from foto edar:).... use a bounce card....to archieve bokeh just shoot like normal loh with boucing the flash....super blur on how to use it!!! hope to learn from you guys: 1)what is the used of HSS? 2)can we maintain bokeh effect using flash? I was shooting just now, a dark place and my flash just focused on the subject in front and due to the super high shutter speed, the background are all blacked out....what i did was going back to M mode(camera) and slow down the shutter speed...i realized that the flash and shutter speed are synced. Is there a way to un-sync it? For instance, i think to capture more background the flash shud be on a slower shutter ...correct me if i am wrong...stress now!!haha btw, can canon or nikon diffuser fit F42?if can which model?thanks i think direct flash will not have too much bkeh effect.... |

So if the flash is being flashed directly at the object, then it will be a silhouette effect?

I use diffuser in outdoors and indoors. I have tried using bounce card, but the result is not good enough for me. It is kinda harsh when shooting outdoor using bounce card. Probably my DIY bounce card failed me. haha I don't know.
