one of the reason of holed piston caused by too lean air-fuel mixture which lead to too perfect burns in piston, leading to higher temp and pressure inside the piston. for those who change their exhaust and remove airbox/filter need to be careful on this.

this also happened to my big bro RXZ few years back...

Wawawa so change exhaust and remove air filter is harmful to our piston lo right??? Btw i juz saw a nice exhaust pipe at mudah here is the link http://www.mudah.my/Yoshimura-Muffler-For-LC135-3412315.htm it is written there Yoshimura (but i think it is more like pirated or cetak rompak one), one more question here, how long will it takes to change valve spring?? And when changing the valve spring do nid to change EO again?? Wat brand de valve spring is recommended??? Cuz after SPM might get rextor so muz do some ''homework'' ^^ the rest i dun wan change d bcuz they are dam pricy and easily spotted during blocking..

is there any sign/symptoms for us to detect scratched piston or piston gt hole?
*
i think the one that got scratched is the wall of the engine block, not piston. anyway, if piston got hole, then you could see a lot of white smokes come out from the exhaust, since the engine oil is burnt together with the petrol in the engine block. but if the hole is too big (size about 10-sen coin), then the engine will stalled and eventually turned off. when that happen, you're in serious mess mate sweat.gif

yeah, but with proper carb tuning, I don't think so. for street aftermarket muffler (not those racing or hi-performance), the chance for the holed piston (or we called it piston bobos in bahasa) is small.

correct me if i'm wrong icon_rolleyes.gif

congrats dude.

you can actually push your bike hard from 300km onwards, as long as u use cheaplak engine oil. full synthetic oil dont play. tongue.gif

thanks bro!
uhmm what do u mean by "use cheaplak engine oil. full synthetic oil dont play." u mean dont use full synthetic oil? why? i tought its good for the engine and all the inside parts.

its most probably due to low viscosity of the fully synthetic oil (too cair)... so higher revs can cause scratches on block if in running in period... but cheap engine oils hav higher viscosity but wont last long... need regular oil change.. nod.gif correct me if m wrong

bro, the muffler is 100% fake... so dun waste ur time... lol.... bout changing valve springs... requires removal of the head... so need EO change n minimum of 2 hour time for installation n setting... sweat.gif go for trusted brands like BRT, TDR, ride-it, etc...

full synthetic oil is too thin to make the piston ring to 'match' the block nicely in order to form a good seal. A lot of engine oil developer has a new product called 'break in oil', specially to run in engine, so that we can achieve higher torque and horsepower in future.

nope, it's not a NOB1 muffler but just a 'real' fake yoshi muffler.
saw and checked it once, the yoshi tag is not a sticker but more to metal plate. smile.gif
