Guys, thinking of building a SFF as a main rig. Very minimal gaming and more towards watching movies/series.
Can someone suggest something at around RM800-RM900?

QUOTE(Mayor @ May 29 2009, 04:46 PM) For the casing, used the Qbox. i'm using it right now. Can fit 9800gt, thermaltake orb, but gonna use the pendek rams one, 2 hddisk. Yet to factor in the cost of the casing. Additional RM200++ i supposeMy spec is more than RM900 i think. 7200 = Rm380 +- Kingston 2gig ram = RM90 (the pendek one) 9800gt = Rm385 -+ 1 Tera Hddisk = RM340+- Gigabyte G31-MS2L= RM185 (bang for buck) PSU = Rm150+- ------------------------------------- RM1400+- QUOTE(tjay_tj @ May 29 2009, 05:54 PM) well... for a media player only, u can always drop the gc... maybe can get a amd build coz cheaper and have a better integrated graphic. rm900 is pretty achivable. Looks alright for short term. I wonder where else can I save so that I can invest in a graphic cards. 2nd hand perhaps.i will try to list down the parts later edit~ amd athlon 7750 ~ 225 asus m2n68-am ~ 175 ram 2gb ~ 100 hdd 640gb ~ 215 psu ~ 100 - 200 casing ~ silverstone sugo sg02F/sg01F might be good ~ 259 - 359 about that wow... nice sharing... fast update |

QUOTE(tjay_tj @ May 30 2009, 02:30 AM) it will be not worth to save on the parts anymore... everything is pretty basic except the casing and psu... Curious to know, what are the casings that are priced between 180-250?psu rm50 casing rm150 - 200 xqbox/aopen the best choice is to build and add the gc later... temprory used it withoud the gc... most properbly can reused all the old part. |

Between Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L and Asus GA-G31M-S2L which would be a better pick?
My build would be mainly for 1) Watching high definition movies 2) Online games |

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Jul 3 2009, 01:47 PM) skeleton is old news bradder....i think someone posted in V2 or V1 Any shops in LYP selling XQBOX?@darkages same price region? doubt theres any decent ones.go for other models of the XQBox. theyre the best u can get at that price range. anything else will most likely be crap. the next up the line would cross the RM3xx barrier. if ur willing to cross it then mebbe the V350/V351 or the Sugos. |

Trying to setup something with less than RM1k budget and the most intensive application that will be used will probably be Adobe Lightroom.
Any setup suggestion assuming I want a small (Jonsbo V2 size) without OS and monitor. |
