Hi all,
need a feedback from Aopen-G326 user.... I recently bought that particular casing and within this week, planning to buy a PSU.

The question is; what sort of PSU can fit in for Aopen-G326?
-am looking at GaygayBite SuperB 720W:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/PowerS...me=Superb%20720

also at Xigmatek NRC-PC502
http://www.xigmatek.com/product/power-nrppc502.php

any users of Aopen-G326 using these two type of PSU?

judging form the size of the psu... the gigabyte one is a standart atx size. should be able to fit in with not much problem...
abut the xigmatek one... the size is bigger than 2cm, properbly need to becareful with that...

so the best choice is the gigabyte one.

Understood...thanks for the info....appreciate it a lot.

Tomolo going to Robyn Comp @ Imbi plaza. to look for GayGaybite superB 720W.

sleeving some of those loose cable and use cable tie base would help to make the setup neat ..

Really bored...got notin better to do:
Update on my HTPC Aopen-G326; Added CPU Cooler DeepCool Killer Whale & re-apply Tunix TX-2.
I'm starting to hate this casing. Idle at 52'C

E82 idle at 52c ? wow... this case is horrible ....
add more ventilation fans maybe?
*
yup.

QUOTE(evolutioner @ Oct 8 2009, 07:47 PM)
is the PSU supposed to be mounted that way?!
lol..

btw.. maybe the cooler is too lousy?
my fren's E8400 on stock cooler idling at 40C
*
Yes based from the Case Design the PSU mounted at the back.

notin wrong with KillerWhale. Its work like charm with Mid Tower Casing.

anyway this is a shot of Bios Temp:
below 40'C...totally differ from Core Temp & HW temp while in windows enviroment:
here also screen shot from Easy Tuner 6 in windows enviroment also below 40'c.

the temps were ok...though i don't o/c....hmm...
*
after few adjustment, (removed the HDD Cage, cable management abit)... right now the Core Temp reading at: 44'C - 47'C (@3.2Ghz) idle.

i think the temps now are around there...my e8400 was also around that temp, when in a full tower casing with numerous fans... doh.gif

anyway, my kids were quite curious and were questioning what the box was(the aopen326)...as it looked different as my other PCs... biggrin.gif
*
Indeed, that one thing about G-326, the appearance....

another thing abou thte aopen is that the casing can fit tower heatsinks....

maybe you need to do some modding to put extra exhaust fan will make it great  laugh.gif
*
..hmmm..cool....exhaust fan...
but am not a modder.... dont have a clue where to start..tho.

yup..you're right...the space can accommodate a tower HSF, in which i believe will be good, as the hsf fan on the tower can be aligned "inline"(blowing in the same direction) with the psu fan at the rear...hence assisting the evacuation of hot air via the PSU...

i currently have a zalman 9500 cooler in the g326 casing...the temps are quite alright...in Realtemp, my coretemps doesn't exceed 46degC, on HWmonitor(coretemps) doesn't exceed 45degC, on Coretemp doesn't exceed 42degC, on speedfan(coretemps) doesn't exceed 42degC as well...
*
Nice... rclxms.gif ..bro ...if you dont mind, can u snap a picture showing your Aopen-G326 with Zalman 9500.
Coz my Killer Whale kindda overwellming , I cant mount my PSU correctly due to KillerWhale heatsink to damn big. I have to Push back few inch my PSU & mount it with cable tide instead of screws.

hmmm the deep cool killerwhale top down air flow might not suite your aopen.

i think you can try CM Hyper TX3
*
yup..u are right... am in search of an alternative Tower Heatsink tho. The KillerWhale just for testing, its not a permanent solution.

I wouldn't mind, but those are high end coolers....my budget was limited...hence had to utilized with what I have... sweat.gif
*
Wow...nice...much more nicer than my Killer Whale, its even had a small gap. Anyway Thanks bro. Look like it I gonna have to get me another Tower HSF for my SFF setup

yes sir...

a tower cooler will definitely be more efficient...especially if the PSU has a large fan at the lower side....which is very popular nowadays anyway...

Added on October 12, 2009, 12:33 pm
your killer whale, as mentioned by fr0sti3, is a top-down design...hence the airflow is not working in tandom with the fan of the psu...

a tower cooler will definitely be better...I just got a CCF, but donno if it fits... hmm.gif
*
CCF wahhh drool.gif here.... pair it with 90CFM fan...mind snapping a picture for us to see once u complete. rclxms.gif

on second thought 90CFM fan gonna be like a heli when u switch on your SFF tho.
