Ive just bagged a Gigabyte GA-EG41MF-S2H matx mobo. It seems to be a pretty darn good overclocker with loads of setting in the BIOS. After messing around with it for 2 hours, I'm able to get my E2160 from 1.6Ghz to 2.8Ghz with very little effort. I'll try bumping up the speed in the next couple of days.

hey guys, i'm new here.. but i'm planning on building an sff gaming rig, so i can drag all the way back to russia where i study.. mainly coz my lappy juz died, mostly coz its my dream to have a madness gaming rig that's sleek and chun...
here's wat i've come out with..

MSI X58M + Intel Core i7 920
Team Elite DDR3 1333MHz 6GB kit
Leadtek GTX275
Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB
Samsung SATA 22X DVD Rewriter
Thermalright AXP-140 + low profile fan
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W / Corsair HX520
SilverStone Sugo SG02F

The sum comes up to slightly < RM4.3k
are there anything i should take note of and anything i can improve on?
mainly i'm worried abt the heat generated by the hot i7 920 and gfx card..
any suggestions?

you left our your mobo there laugh.gif

The graphic card should be ok... The problem arise from the cooling of the i7... I think it will be stuck at stock speed.

i strongly suggest u look at his list again.... and look PROPERLY

@evolutioner
specs looks good....the AXP140 should be able to cool down the i7. but where are u gonna get the low profile fan? theyre not easily available.

burner change to asus or something...samsungs are notoriously unreliable

im not too confident with the cooling of the Sugo. plus u kinda have to make sure the big card u wanna get will fit in there.

the view form phone not so good...

mADmAN is right about the fan... the fan rsangel bought (120mm x 120mm x15mm) only can be found in sg... or oder thru uglyvamp brows.gif
and according to rsangel... the fan only manged to drop the temp by less than few degrees on idle...

QUOTE(rsangel @ Mar 18 2009, 11:26 AM)
bro volt, i don't no how's geminIIs / geminII hsf on passive, coz i don't own them lol but AXP i can give u some avg temps smile.gif

yesterday i did try passive cool my proc, after i remove the 12mm thickness fan, idle temps are 2~4c diff with the fan, but when comes to load, is around 5~8c diff compare with a 12mm fan include.

and for sugo as well, love the looks and everything, but ventilation and fan slots juz not enuff.. are there any other suggestions? currently i'm looking at Tt lanbox lite..
