KL-Ipoh electric train, 2010

My analysis :

Based from simple calculations,

171 km + 179 km + 32 km = 382 km

Then divide by 3 hours, the average speed should be 127.3 km/h for KL-Butterworth journey with EDTP, so, it is quite fast and well above any speed currently attained in KTM...

Maybe...

Because i heard KL - Ipoh with no stop, is about 1 hour 50 minutes, with stops about 2 hour 15 minutes....

Then add 90 minutes from Ipoh to Butterworth.....it is 3 hour 20 minutes or 3 hours 40 minutes..

But many reports and official government announcement/speeches tells that KL to Butterworth will be 3 hours, so i assume maybe non-stop

And that is good, i can go to Penang to enjoy myself, and come back to KL on the same day too!

I bet Penangites will visit KL every weekend because of the train

I will see next year, and try to guess....

KL to Ipoh is about RM 10/ RM 18

But that is diesel train, i don't know the rate for electric train and i will know it, probably next year

Maybe, not too sure....but KL-Ipoh electric train fare, may not be as cheap as diesel train service (RM10/RM18)

There is plan to equip the new train with internet, but wait and see lah...

If there is internet for sure, then no more bus for me to Penang
