Cheap lens still can win if you know how to utilize it.
Even me also using kit lens until now what.

damn cheapo lens can produce not round bokeh wor

50mm f1.8 cheaper than 18-70mm f3.5-5.6 lor...

if you see my pics, this lens punya not even 'constant' one... some got sharp edges, some oval, some bulat-ish
me not like... me like uniform looking bokeh. if pentagonal, then all pentagonal. if bulat then all bulat.

ring flash = looks like mangkuk tandas ring

my previous gear that was robbed at knife point had 3 lenses - the old version of the nikkor 105mm micro f/2.8, the grossly overweight nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8 and a standard nikkor 50mm f/1.8.
back in the 90's the whole thing could be had under RM8k, which was also a lot easier when one did not have to spend one's own money

and now i am stuck with a zoom lens that isn't fast enough nor does it focus close enough. so am i wrong in pining for a new lens?
and why the angst?

ring flash my ex-school's photography club used to have wor. Quite cute, attaches to the front part of the lens one

i'm thinking of skipping the 50mm. I have one in the old nikkor manual mount back in sabah, which i hope will still fit.
