Hey guys - am considering buying either one (full band set - I have a GH3 guitar), but not sure which one, and also, no idea where to get either one and how much would it cost me.

so any pointers or help is greatly appreciated.

Tough Question but i prefer RB2 offline or online mode much preffered

You can play with GHWT bundle but RB bundle , you can play only in RB games not GH games

I have both GHWT and RB2. As for the instruments, I have GHWT complete band.

Is highly subjective. I can imagine there will be mixed preferences between GHWT and RB2. But let me breadown how i made my decision.

1. GHWT instruments is compatible with RB2, but not the other way round. So, So if you intend to get both (is worth it!), get GHWT first, then buy RB2 game only.
2. RB2 is really better in terms of persentation, graphics, structure, and perks. I think many will agree to that.
3. In terms of songs, GHWT in my opinion is better, especially for the guitar. GHWT has more recognizable songs too.
4. GHWT tends to be harder. Even for the same song, GHWT tends to make it harder for u to play. But expert in RB2 can still stress you out.
5. I don't really like RB2 drums. Coz is doesn't look like the real drums. And GHWT drums are harder to play too coz it has 5 drum pads vs 4 in RB2. GHWT drums is closer to the real drums. it really feels authentic.

RB2 did a overall better job. But GHWT really scored in terms of music and the drum kit. I still play both 50/50.

ramz's suggestion is sound - I was wondering where I can get the game as well in KL and also how much would it set me back? For the time being, getting GHWT first then Rock Band 2 game only seems to be the best choice.

it's very difficult to find RB2 in KL. GHWT is relatively easy to find - I should know I've been trying to locate RB2 for months. You should try both if you can but for me there's a very specific reason I want RB2 - it's friendlier to noobies (No Fail mode).

I bought my RB2 game only in gamer's hideout, cineleisure, The Curve.

As for GHWT, well, i didn't buy it in malaysia, so no comments. However, i heard the complete GHWT complete bundle is about rm700 in KL/PJ (that was a few months ago, maybe is more expensive now). Call Gamer's hideout to see if they still have. I believe they can pre-order for you.
