Hi,
Usually those conman would working in the way nordingh suggested but this case not too sure cause Maybank still owe me a clear explanation especially the conman is working in Maybank.
Davis,
Hopefully, you have NOT ship the product. Correct?
Since the buyer has claimed to use MayBank2U, did you also get a transaction id or email as confirmation of that payment?
The MayBank2U email should come from: m2u@maybank.com.my, the full email headers authen server id should be:
m2umail.maybak2u.com.my (Lotus Domino Release 7.0.1). Email Authen. headers are bit more difficult to forge.
If this is also the case, then, MayBank could have an insider manipulating their email system.
Report to the Security team @ MayBank Asap.
Also, if you believe this individual may also be working for one of those GLCs, report to the Commercial Crime Investigation Department's Cyber and Multimedia Investigation Division asap.
