Anything is possible! I've just attended an interview with an oil and gas company. Im final year student in electronics engineering maj. telecommunications from mmu. I wonder why they called me at the first place too, but they said as a fresh grad, they are looking more into proactive and hardworking candidates.
But of course, if you already know what you want, then might as well take chemical or mechanical engineering. these are the 2 major field considered by oil companies.
