Question on accommodation: What are the accommodation facilities available for MMU students besides the hostels and their average rental cost? (Cyberjaya campus) Also regarding MMU on-campus hostels, do you get to choose your room-mates?

@XterNalz: Thank you very much~! Initially I thought of enrolling for Software Engineering but looking at the subjects, and comparing them with the other courses, I feel Computer Science suits me better. Are/Were you also a CompSci student at MMU? If so could you describe the teaching environment there? Also care to comment on the racial diversity of MMU Cyberjaya students? Thank you

True.. however, what I meant though was the uni's stand on how a classes should be conducted (lectures and tutorials), student workload, and etc.
I basically self-study most of my subject in college now because lecturers don't really care about getting your brain stocked up with the knowledge needed for life but rather have the "I'll make sure you pass the exam" way of teaching. I'm searching for an institute with aims for better their students and not just get them good grades.

I attended Star Edu Fair today at PISA, Penang. And I expected to be awed by MMUs booth. But my expectations were shattered immediately. Not only was the booth tiny, unimpressive and boring. The informational fliers/brochures were dull and extremely unappealing. In addition to that when I took the time to drop by and ask a few questions, the booth handlers were having their own conversation. When they finally stopped talking, I asked them a few details, during which I was interrupted and had to wait for them to exchange a few more words before getting my answers.
Such a disappointment. If I had not heard such good things about MMU before I would have totally blacklisted MMU as potential candidate institutes for me to further my studies. The friend I brought along, to no surprise submitted an application for UCTI instead.
That aside, I'm rather thrilled to hear from [besaid] that MMU has a healthy balance of all races. However, [Iliveunderwater] contradicted [besaid]s statement, and now I seek further consult.
Also, I would like to add, that MMU does not accept credit transfers exceeding 30 credits. This adds another reason for me, a soon to be diploma gradute, to favour other institutes of higher learning. As even for highly recognized institutes like University of Nottingham(Malaysia), and UCTI/APIIT allows entry into the 2nd year of a Bachelors degree with a diploma.
Sigh~
TL;DR version: I'm rather disappointed with MMU, it seem to not live up to its reputation.

Umm.. how exactly do I get to MMU Cyberjaya??
Info: I'll be reaching Puduraya bus station at approximately 11am. I'll be relying on public transport to get me all the way from Pudu to MMU and back again. So I need some very specific information if possible. Wouldn't want to get lost and not be able to attend MMU's open day ~ ^^

MMU Cyberjaya Here I Come~!
I've heard that MMU itself does not offer any scholarships. I wonder if fee exemption is considered scholarship. I've currently only got a 3.37 CGPA which is rather unappealing for scholarships, but maybe I could get a little fee waiver. (UCTI offered a 25% fee waiver for me, and my parents are really pushing me to go for it, need to convince them that MMU is better~!!!). I'm probably gonna submit my application this Sunday too!
ps. MMU's processing fee is only RM20 while even UTAR insist on RM50, which is shocking seeing as MMU is much better recognized than UTAR.

Question regarding PTPTN:
I took a loan from PTPTN for my diploma studies which I will be completing next month. I plan on continuing my studies to the degree level right after I finish my diploma. Will I be eligible to receive a loan from PTPTN? I havent started working, and I havent paid back a cent.
