if i hav no C in any science subject,although i got more tahn 5 C in SPM,can i take foundation of IT?

So if i'm not mistaken it means u need to get at least 5c for english+maths+1 science subject+2 other subjects(bm, sej, etc.). correct me if i'm wrong.

My diploma havent end at TARC, itll be finish at this May, and Result will cum out at about June, But MMU intake is June right? I do not have my CGPA to apply for it yet, I should just use my transcript? the transcript Ill print it from online, which is then not certified , with the results, but take note my Last sem result havent out and no CGPA stated there yet.

I already bought the application form, it just my diploma result problem right now, Will i have to take the Foundation until my result is out? Or i can jump straight to the Beta lvl?

to: lycan01, i just believe that respect can only be earned... and does not need junior to respect seniors if the juniors dont want to respect them with some reasons. If a.k.a ragging and etc is being practice, we will say goodbye to MMU, which i dont think the students will even consider to do so. Minor things such as no smoking (don't count those who curi2 smoke in the toilet) and etc, most students still play by the rule and students discipline (especially physical abuse and etc) is an serious offense for a "civilized" person.

No, no such thing in MMU lol. But we do refer to older batch students as senior. That's all.

Hello Mr. Gavin, I hope you can answer my questions here.

I recently got my STPM results which is not very good. I got 3 principal and a partial pass for my physics, which is a C-. C and above only full pass.
Can I still take up mech. engineering with my results?
Or do I have to repeat foundation?

Your Mathematics and physics must get principle. U need at least 3 principle (include maths and physics). I think u need to take foundation. U can credit transfer some of the subjects.

there's no more ragging even in public universities nowadays.. i was an ex-UTM student (year 2003), and during my one year experience, freshies and seniors just mind their own business..

lets just help the students with current facts~ the future is something we can only estimate~ if there have been R&D being done, more complimentary policies would have come together with the abolishment of W model~ and besides, when Prof. Ghauth and Prof. Chuah was around (even in Malacca as Dean or in Cyber as Dean in the later years), there has been no debate on this issue, how come a president who has not been in MMu for more than 1 semester (at that time) make such a drastic policy that affects 20k students (the population of both campuses)~

i think i have more than double the years of experience on MMu than you currently have, my friend~ i have been to their open days right after form 5 and until now, i'm still involved in student activities as committee member although i'm working~

there have been a lot of ragging for the past years~ but only by committees towards other committees, =.='

Well, I think I need to agree on you that the future is something we can estimate... And I didnt say as well that I have experience. Opening this trend give me new exposure and new experience as I know most of the seniors do use lowyat forum. I just finish my foundation level and now I am perusing degree in marketing and now is just my first semester in beta. Therefore, there are much and many things that u know more than me or maybe most of us (besides super senior students which is still in MMU- u should know who I meant).

And this forum is mainly to help the public but not for personal interest. But friend, time has brought changes in things. You are a senior of MMU and I do respect you and your points as u have your own stand. But what u know is maybe tru what you heard and read, but I am experiencing it... ( experience it as im in those meetings and interact with the staff and etc). Correct me if im wrong but what u know, mostly the information would be from our SRC website and from your friends. And "ragging"... is it still visible and that bad? I cant guarantee that this thing does not exist at all anymore, and even might be happening under our nose... What I want to point out is, the discipline of the students is still under control (right now) and do correct me if im wrong.

ZZ.. I mean what do you think? Can you get into degree for accounting since you fail in your account for STPM? As like the requirement stated above, you have to pass & get at least 3 principals in STPM inclusive of your maths/accounting which means your maths/accounting has to be at least C. If not, you will have to take foundation.
