im currently using bioclear sauflon toric lens. my problem is, it gets dry fast. usually comfortable wear, only 12 hrs max. sometimes, even if I start using at 5pm, by 11pm I will start to feel 'dryness'.

another thing, I play in rugby tournaments once in a while, in my previous 3 tournaments, one of my lens dropped off.. any idea why?

if I wanna buy 2 boxes (left & right eye) 'bioclear sauflon toric lens', what is your price? and how long is shipping or COD?

thanks!

softlens 38 is the thinnest lens among all in market.

if more nipis, then what does it imply? supposed to be more comfortable? what does it mean by 'more protein deposit'?

toric lens is for astigmatism (rabun silau) correction.
hi, is either u injure/scratch ur cornea or u pull the lens while its dry and sticking to ur cornea which lead to some epithelial cells getting pulled and lead to red irritated eyes.

Best way to prevent this would be putting a few drops of eyedrop before lens removal, and always pull the lens to a side 1st before taking it out straight from ur cornea. take care.

i didnt know its actually a problem. I thought its normal for the eyes to turn red when we remove our lens? anyway, thanks for the info. will try and see if there's any diff.

hi,

u might rmb me or not.. haha.. anyway, i bought air optix toric from ur fren's shop. started wearing it since 1st june 2012. so now into my 2nd pair..

my experience:

1st month: all good

2nd month: after a week of changing to the 2nd pair.. i feel like 'too much oxygen' is coming into my eyes.. its like someone is blowing very softly into my eyes.. sort of like i can feel the wind is coming in into my eyes.

do u know why? it doesnt really feel dry (i can wear longer thatn 12 hrs no problem).. but that's my only complain..

Its an early sign of dry eyes, but very mild symptom, u can try putting eye drops to help strengthen the moist layer in front of lens and that shall reduce the windy sensation on lens usage. Hope its helps.

thanks! i havent got the chance to try yet.. but u think its gonna be permanent?

bcos, in my first month of using air optix, this prob never occured..

rm 95 for a box of Biofinity monthly disposable lens.(6 pieces in a box). Buy 1 box free 1 extra piece
Acutally i m not sure why there is a windy sensation also. I asked many optometrist, they believe its dry eye symptom. If its really dry eyes, then its going to be permanent esp with lens wear.
Very true, that is why i encourage my customer to buy 1 pair each from all different brands to try 1st, rather than go on boxes. But shop usually cant do that because they afraid customer will just buy 1 pair and supplier usually dont allow it.

RM95 for Biofinity toric?

regarding dry eyes.. hope its just this particular lens im using.. hopefully next one will be back to normal..

Biotrue is Rm 48 or 49 a set depending on area.

Lens drop u can try Naturale tears II.

Aosept doesnt suit every1 lifestyle because u must soak it for 6 hours because u can use the lens otherwise the solution will sting ur eyes and lead to allergic reaction.

Biotrue stains cornea more than optifree but it produces less cornea dry spot than optifree caused. Corneal dryness can lead to dead epithelial cells, and its can be worse or lead to same amount of staining.

when u use the word stain, are u referring to the 'cloudiness' of the lens while wearing it?

I realised it last week, I was in the office, then I look out towards the window (so there are lights coming in), and I realise that my vision is cloudy, not so clear.. is that protein or stain that u were mentioning??

I'm using Renu and how i rinse my lens is either:

1) take out lens - put in the casing - put solution - done

or, if im not lazy,

2) take out lens - rinse with renu solution - put in casing - put solution - done.

Which one is good enough? I usually soak it for at least 8hrs and Im using Air Optix Toric.

Thanks.. smile.gif

Hi Jialat,

im currently using air optix toric. power as below:

R: -5.75, astig -1.25
L: -4.25, astig -1.25

been using it for 1.5-2 years now.

so far lens is ok.. though it gets quite dry after using it for 12 hrs. any other recommendation/new lenses today that I can consider? for usage of from 7am to at least 7pm?

if i have to work extra long, i sometimes have to wear lens from 7am-10-11pm.
