Dear TS,

I'm using B&L Multi focal BC:8.8; PWR:-6.5 ADD: Low and also
using B&L HD soft len with reading glasses.
I don't really fancy multi focal lenses as it only able to last about 6 hours, then my eyes get very tried and dry.
I need lenses for long hours wear, that why I switch to the HD lenses.
My question are:-
1. Any alternative soft lenses you can recommend for both Multi Focal and not multi focal.

2. Is Ortho-K suitable for me?

3. Have you heard of LOYAL Eye Clinic, Pakar Ortho-K, Mata, 26 Jalan SJ 17, Taman Selayang Jaya, Batu Caves 68100, Selangor.? They seems to provide Ortho-K lenses.

Thanks

Simon

Thanks

Hi Simon, I would recommend you to try air optix multifocal as your eyes are dry and tried after long hours wear. Vision might not be as clear as softlens multifocal but no harm trying. The same goes for normal lens too, just try air optix to see.

orthoK is not suitable for you, unless you prepared to go for monovision, 1 eye for far vision and 1 eye for near vision.

Yes, i saw the advertisement in newspaper before. I find it weird because they also provide chinese traditional medicine, i dont know how good they are. But as far as i know, hospital selayang eye clinic team doesnt refer any patient to them.

Any newer options for presbyopia users?
Most of the multi focal contact lenses are not that staifying in terms of clarity for both near and far sight.
But I understand since 2016, there are actually newer designed lenses and are better.
Any comment or suggestions?
Thanks

Thank you very much.

Still looking for a clearer and sharper vision for presbyopia.
So far tested most still can't find one that is suitable. Further to that, now a days, most optical shops don't carry out proper test for you as I guess not much profit to make after they prescribed you, you can actual buy from else where.

contact lens prices are terrible nowadays but they still should do over refraction on top of lenses to find the best prescription.

Any recommendations?

Look for those individual outlet run by optometrist, dont go chain stores which mostly hire optician who dont perform over refraction on contact lens.
