i am new to contact len. For monthly type, do we have to change the solution everyday? or how long can we keep the len in the case without changing the solution? As i am not a daily wearer , i just wear for sport only mayb 3-4 times per week. is ok to only change 2-3 days 1 time as i find it teadious to change everyday

If you mean take out from your eyes and soak in the same used solution, that's a big no-no! There's a high risk of contamination from handling your lenses.
But if you mean using fresh solution to soak the lenses after cleaning, and then keeping them in the case for a few days, that's ok.

Thanks .I meant the latter one. As when i just  bought the contact len to try out , the person told me to take it out and clean and change the case solution everyday.so i find it is very tedious after doing few days and wondering if necessary do it every day.

If you take out the lenses every day, then got to clean and soak in fresh solution every day too.

Bear in mind too that, once the bottle of lens solution is opened, you are supposed to use it up within 30 days...

hi, get those with high oxygen then you may wear them longer hours. silicone hydrogel lens allow you to wear them more than 12 hours safely during open eyes time, not when you sleep.

My friend uses monthly extended wear lenses, but he actually only takes them out to change once a month!!

He says he feels perfectly comfortable, been doing that for years...

Wah have such lenses? Which type? Doesn't sound that safe

He's using Air Optix monthly disposable multifocal.

He tells me taking the lenses out to wash has a higher risk of infection...

FDA only approved for 7 day 6 night max for extended wear without removing from eyes, but I strongly recommend not to do that.
