QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 10 2012, 02:18 PM) Hi, u can try Bausch & Lomb biotrue because it keeps the moist in contact lens for 20 hours, longest possible among all the solution that i have tried before. Its not stingy too, very close to our eyes natural pH. how much is it in the market? Only optic shop sells it? And Just make sure u dont use solo care aqua because my friends in singapore said they have problem and have stopped selling it. |

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 10 2012, 03:28 PM) Yes, oasys toric is very expensive in long run. And recently more and more complaints of dry corneal problem beneath the lens due to its edge design that some optometrists think it reduced the tears exchange. Most of these patients have switched to air optix toric without any problem, and its cheaper also. check out my price and u know its worth. u can buy 1 pair to try 1st if u worry. thanks RM10 discount all store wide? Is it cheap? Buy now because biotrue has rm 10 off now. I am not sure pharmacy sells it or not but some optical shops sell them. I am not sure, but my optical shop friends heard from many ciba vision salesman that it will be stopped by end of this year also. |

QUOTE(jerambesu86 @ Jun 17 2012, 02:18 PM) i just used contact lens for first time yesterday. hmmm try flip the other way round of the lens again. if you can see a slight curve towards the outer part of the lens, then that is the wrong side. if it is round either way, it could be your solution which may not be suitable for your eyes or maybe you couldn't get used to wearing lenses yet. Acuvue is considered soft if compared to many other brands like bausch and lomb. I used acuvue as my first lens as well and it worked good enough for me acuvue clear + i-care multi purpose solution. after 12 hours using i still feel uneasiness, i still notice like there is something sharp in my eyes especially if i move my eyes around too much. is there any lens that is softer that i can try? or is it just my eyelids that is too sensitive? by the way i still dont how see if the lens is inside-out when im wearing it. they both look the same. the round edges both way look round enough for me. QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 17 2012, 08:03 PM) Acuvue clear is the worst lens in market now, there will be alot of protein deposit after 1-2 weeks long hours usage. Short hours wear is ok, but still many other lenses are much better in quality than acuvue clear. hmm is it? |

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 19 2012, 12:16 AM) you can check with those who do research on contact lens or read contact lens spectrum article on the different type of lens. Acuvue clear was developed since long time ago, if its so good, then johnson & johnson will not manufacture new lenses. Old material and old technology, thats why its so cheap. i see i see. What are the new lenses that are developed by johnson and johnson? 3 pairs for RM60 is considered cheap? O.o |

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 20 2012, 10:43 PM) Latest lens from J&J are 2 weekly lens, they recently launched acuvue moist toric daily lens but it seems like a failure too according to my optometrist friends in private sector. Ciba and B&L daily toric lens are still much better quality than acuvue moist toric. hmm any better recommendations for monthly lens? i bought mine at the price of RM 150 for 3 boxes last year :/Acuvue clear is only Rm 45 a box. |

QUOTE(jialat @ Jun 21 2012, 12:15 AM) That is great, i will feedback to them, and continue to recommend customer to their place. i never heard of that brand before. which company is it under? if 3 pieces in a box, mah only 1 pair and 1 more extra lens? ._.I strongly recommend air optix for monthly lens, it allows 5 times more oxygen to pass thru the lens than acuvue clear and have much lesser protein deposit on lens. Air optix is rm 45 a box also, but 3 pieces only in a box. |

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jul 21 2012, 08:02 PM) Hi, I'm in college now and I think I should start wearing contacts... my glasses make me look like a geezer in the eyes of my friends... how much do they cost? Prefer the monthly ones. well for myself, i wear contacts when i do sports though I have short sightedness of around 3.00? with some astig and I'm not sure of the exact info yet (need to get my eye tested) but it should roughly cost how much? Planning on wearing it when I'm out and glasses at home. BTW, are glasses still better than contacts when going for sports activities such as running and squash? if wear specs, the sweat might stay on the specs and make skin more prone to acnes and full of bacteria |

QUOTE(jialat @ Sep 17 2012, 07:25 PM) the preservative in the solution is expired, meaning that it can be contaminated, so if u use it, then prepare more money to see eye specialist if your eyes are infected. i see....do you know anywhere that i could purchase biotrue in those travelling sizes? Big bottles are a little too big and now i dont wear contact lens as much already |

its been 3 months since I wore my contact lens.
And when I just tried put it on last week, it hurt so much that I kept tearing even though i used a new lens and new solution. Is this normal? |
