Hi Jialat biggrin.gif I would like to ask something.

Today is my second time wearing contact lenses(my first wear was a few months back). I'm planning to use it almost everyday. Is there anything I need to know?

Right now, my right eye is totally used to it, just that I can feel very minor itch sometimes.. But the problem is my left eye. I could feel the contact lens itching my eye, is there something wrong? Anything that I should consider? What would it feel like if I wear my contact lens wrongly?(Flipped over)
And kinda blur compared to specs. Is it suppose to be like this?

Hm.. and Which contact lens would you recommend me if I am going to stay awake for at least 8 hours? Is there any contact lens that could last longer than 8 hours? And also I would most likely be using computers.

Thanks in advance biggrin.gif

if u plan to use it everyday, lens hygiene will be the most important issue. its always good to use protein removal once a week to ensure the lens stays permeable to oxygen and no protein or lipid buildup which can lead to complication.

flipped lens will caused uncomfortable feeling on eyes. check the shape of lens on the pulp of ur finger, do the taco test which u should have been informed when u 1st learn checking lens shape and condition.

give me ur spec and contact lens power, then i will know whether u r using the right power lens or not.

lens tat can be worn for more than 8 hours a day will be air optix, purevision, day & night, oasys. thanks

Protein removal? Is it the.. Liquid in the contact lens cover?

Crap I kinda forgotten.. Uncomfortable like how? Very pain or just itchy? Nvm I'll ask my friends about the taco test laugh.gif

Other than that can't be worn for over 8 hours? What about Dailies lens?

protein removal come in tablet and liquid form, its not the solution in the contact lens plastic foil.

daily lens is not recommended to wear for > 8 hours, unless u get silicone hydrogel daily lens which cost a bomb. acuvue moist is ok to wear for 10 hours max. thanks

If I am using daily lens, would I still need to use the protein removal?

I am planning to use daily lens for hygiene purposes. Do I just open, and use?

How much would those silicone hydrogel daily lens cost?

Yesterday was my first time wearing contact lens and driving, afternoon and night. During the afternoon was ok, but at night it was abit blurry. Is it normal?

hi, u dont need to use protein removal for daily lens because u throw the lens away at the end of everyday usage.

yes, just open the plastic foil and use it, of course make sure ur hands and fingers are clean.

its quite expensive, let me ask my supplier 1st then i will pm the price.

clear at daytime but blur at night driving means there is astigmatism uncorrected.

pls pm me ur exact spectacle power so that i can recommend u the lens. thanks

Hm.. I've searched through some youtube videos. There's a part before they apply the contact lens, they put solution on the palm with the lens. Daily lens doesn't require that right? That is the first time I saw people doing that.

Oh alright. If I am not wrong, drying my hands with tissue paper won't be a problem right. Correct me if I am wrong.

Ok please do let me know when you got the price laugh.gif And sorry for the trouble

Hm.. I'm not sure about my specs power. Maybe I will have a check when I got free time smile.gif

For wearing contact lens, so far so good. Just that my left eye will feel irritating itches, but my right eye is fine. After around 8 hours or wearing daily lenses(yes, I know am not suppose to be doing this), I have difficulties removing the lens. I think that my eye is a little too dry. What must I do?
