Hi,

Sometimes I encounter blur vision when wearing contact lenses if my eyes are too dry. I am now using the permanent (non-disposable) toric contact lens, may I know which brand you recommend for the permanent toric contact lense for dry eyes?

Thanks.

when the contact lens lost its moisture, then it will not be able to function properly, vision will be blurred. thats why dry eyes are not encouraged to use high water content lens.

if u are interested to order, pls pm me. thanks

hi, its best to stick to the same brand product, as purevision toric is made by B&L, so for solution and eye drops u can use B&L too. Renu fresh or sensitive for solution, eyes drops is called B&L rewetting drops. u can find them in any pharmacy chain like guardian or watson. Or u can try finding them in optical shops. thanks

hi, stop rubbing eyes if u want to prevent the astigmatism progression.

look under monthly toric lens or biweekly toric lens. i strongly recommend acuvue oasys toric but its expensive though.

thanks

hey jialat, how much is Air Optix now?
I was told that the buy 3 free 1 is still available and was quoted RM165 for 4 boxes (6 pairs/months). I'm sure that is quite a bargain right?

hi, if u still can get rm 165 for 4 boxes, then buy all the stock he can offer. cost price increased since late february, if u dont believe, please call ciba vision malaysia HQ to ask.

perhaps u can share with us here or pm me which shop is selling at that price because i want to buy too. I am sure ciba vision will talk to them soon too if they find out which shop doing that.

Have been using contact lens for the past 15 years. Blur vision on my right eye as there is no disposal lens at > 12. Thinking of going back to long wear lens (pardon me if I used the wrong term here).

In what ways are long wear lens better than disposal lens ?
More accurate power instead of what is the next available power for disposal lens ?
Lens contour custom made for the client ?
Thanks.

Ok, already pm u. B&L softlens toric would be suitable because u have high astigmatism. If u dont monthly disposable, then u can use yearly custom made lens. Thanks

Hi, may i know what u meant by >12?

yes, yearly disposable lens power has a wider range than monthly disposable lens, thanks

it can be custom made too but cost is higher compared to those ready made stock from manufacturer.

Thanks.

By > 12, I was referring to the power.

Custom monthly disposal lens - beside the power, will the lens curve be customised as well ?

Roughly, how much is that special lens ?

Thanks.

a. Ran out of saline water last week and used the Renu fluid for rinsing the lens before putting it onto my eye. Using saline water for rinsing is my normal routine. Noted a difference after using Renu fluid for rinsing. Experienced less dry eyes ! Try this if you have dry eyes problem when using contact lens.

b. sent my kid to the optician, initially to get a new spec frame as the few months old frame is all rosak sisni, rosak sana ! The lady said she can't remove the lens ! So ended up getting a new pair set. Sales strategy ? Ha.

Noted this new thing Myovison lens from Zeiss, stating it can reduce mopia progression in kids by 30%. Find that hard to believe. Any experience from users here ?

c. have a debate with home minister on using "white" bulbs in living room instead of "yellow" light bulbs. My take is, our eyes are most sensitive to orange/yellow light and thus better to use the yellow bulbs than white bulbs. Yellow lights on the road/highway etc. I work in a chemical plant. Use yellow lights there as well. So, some truth in yellow light as the better option for eyes ?

Thanks.
