B&L Daily HD a bit dry on my eyes sad.gif

good thing is it's firm and grippy, very easy to wear.

what does different base curve translate to?

can feel the lense more?

hi, a difference of 0.1 or 0.2 mm in base curve does not make any difference, soft lenses tend to conform very well to cornea, so no big problem found with different base curve as long as its between 8.5 to 8.9mm. thanks

oh. thanks for the clarification.

it is a tough choice for me.
firm lense is easier to wear but can "feel" the lense.
soft lense is harder to wear but more comfortable doh.gif but it took me 30 mins to wear 1 side. doh.gif

u should get used to firm lens 1st, then next time only use softer lens. practice makes perfect, insert more often then u will be pro, able to insert without looking at mirror. good luck

purevision is harder but it gives high definition vision, normal softlens is cheaper.

other brand toric lens, u can try biomedic or freshkon n hance toric, they are almost the same.

thanks

hi, harder lens much easier to take care and insert on ur eyes, wont tear so easily. it wont make ur eye feel dry.

u need to get ur eyes checked 1st before ordering.

if u seldom use the lens and u take good care of the lens, then can extend it slightly, but not until 1 extra month so long la. thanks

jialat, I'm going to try another brand this weekend, in hope that I can get rid of the blurriness that I have with this Sauflon Toric.

I have another curious question,

My specs prescription (power & cyl respectively):
L: -5.75 -3.00
R: -4.75 -2.00

For contact lenses, they converted it to:
L: -5.50 -2.25
R: -4.50 -1.75

My question is, why does my right cylinder only get reduced by 0.25 (from -2.00 to -1.75), whereas my left cylinder gets reduced by 0.75 (from -3.00 to -2.25)?

Is that because cylinder -2.25 is the highest regular soft lenses have? if yes, would it improve my vision if I could get higher one (possibly -2.50 or -2.75?)

Thanks

hi, the contact lens power they converted for u is correct, since left eye power is much higher, thus more need to be deducted for the astigmatism power, besides sauflon toric has cyl max up to -2.25 only.

nope, going for higher cylinder power for left wont help much, but no harm trying, the worst u can get is a bit of dizziness. stop using it if really dizzy. as i mentioned, power they provided is correct. thanks

I just found out that when looking up, my vision is much sharper than normal, so bowing my head down a bit and then looking straight forward gives me the vision that I want from my current lenses. Can you explain why?

if thats the case, then pls go back to see the optometrist and get a proper check with the lens on. with a slit lamp examination while wearing the lens should be able to find out the root cause. thanks

hi, monthly lens supposed to mean 30 days wear and it doesnt mattered how many seconds u put on the lens, its best to dispose the lens after 30 days of usage. if u seldom use it, then u can extend the wearing period slightly longer but on your own risk. pls take good care of the lens because u got only 1 pair of eyes, so no point saving that little money and ended up paying more for medical fee or worst ended up blind. thanks

u r welcome.

thats recommended by the manufacturer, johnson & johnson acuvue oasys should only be wore for 2 weeks because if wear longer than that, protein & lipid build up will be too much which can lead to irritation and sensitivity.

nope, its abnormal to feel tired after few hours wearing lens, pls give me ur eye power and contact lens power, i suspect its overpower or u used it while looking at near for too long.
