For this kind of problem, it seems like a hardware failure. Most probably LCD screen or LCD cable. Might be a good idea to bring to service center for warranty claim, if its still under warranty.

I think maybe LCD damaged. Better claim from acer. My friend got send to acer, they managed to repair in 4 days. But my other friend had to wait almost a month. they said because no stock for the lcd. so..i guess it depends

Hmm... I am not sure this consider complication or not. First and foremost, the on screen display is gone. Meaning, you won't see the green volume/light indicator overlay. The e-management functionality also gone. To me, it is acceptable because I just want a clean OS with 100% power management support will do.

The booting of Win7 is impressive especially you slot in big capacity SD Card into the lappy's SD card slot. Win7's ready boost helps to boot into window within 30 sec.  rclxms.gif

On screen thingie should be launch manager program, which is important for some model. if not installed correctly might render your wireless and bluetooth button useless.

if your buttons works ok then its ok, i guess. dunno whether the LM compatible with win 7 in the first place.
