7780 - resetting all custom settings - Settings = all your theme, ringtone etc etc will be reset to factory settings - Data = msg, calendar and contact will be intact
7370 - reformat the phone - Everything will be gone - Phone will be like the day you just got your phone = factory settings + no DATA
3 buttons reset = 7370 - Everything will be gone - Normally people use this when u cannot input the codes above eg. stuck at nokia screen during boot up ..
Another thing is u can achieve 7780 end result by going setting --> phone --> phone mgmt --> factory settings

QUOTE(J-Slade @ Mar 26 2009, 10:31 PM) Huh? You're giving wrong instructions la... you should never disable your GPS. You only tweak the positioning methods in Setting > Phone > Application Settings > Positioning > Positioning Methods huh !??? which part of that advice is wrong ??? It is advisable to disable your GPS when you are only browsing the MAP with no intention to NAVIGATE. It will help reduce battery usage rather than letting the GPS trying to receive signal when you don't require it. Also during ROUTE simulation, you HAVE to disable the GPS. Maybe you just use it for navigation, thats why you say GPS should never be disabled. Just sharing my opinion

QUOTE(J-Slade @ Mar 26 2009, 10:58 PM) Err yeah exactly for navigation. Well I seldom simulate route so I guess I leave it on all the time. You mean you guys use your GPS to browse the map? Isn't it quite hard? I rather just let the GPS take me there i leave it ON most of the time as well. But there are occasion where disabling it seems logical. browsing map for the purpose of route planning eg, setting via or avoidance based on your needs. hmmm, anyway when you are heading to somewhere unknown to you it is always better for you to confirm that the place GPS is going to bring you there is the place that you want to go. You can do this by checking the surrounding of that place and confirm it. You do know that not all addresses are unique right haha??

QUOTE(rognales @ Mar 27 2009, 10:31 AM) yes. from pc suite choose 'connect to the internet'. but how bout tethering? can we do tethering WLAN with our tube? ya, can use pc suite .. or find a program call joikuspot. This will turn your tube into wireless 3G modem wifi router !! you can connect your pc pda or any other wifi peripherals that support peer to peer connectivity and access internet through tube. as for tethering via WLAN, possible ! just enable Internet Connection Sharing from your pc notebook that is connected to Internet. then set your pc/notebook wifi as peer to peer so that your tube can connect to it. Once connected, tube can access internet via through pc/notebook connection. Details are pretty long but i'm sure you can find the exact instruction from the net

QUOTE(rognales @ Mar 27 2009, 11:06 AM) i was thinking of the other way around. instead of cnncting our pc to internet with tube via 3g can we do it via WLAN? PC - TUBE - WLAN - Internet let me get you right .. you mean you want to Connect your pc to the internet via TUBE where TUBE got its internet connection from WLAN ?? if that is what you want, i've never done it before but it seems very limited option available if TUBE can go internet via WLAN and your PC cannot WLAN maybe because no wifi card. So , the next option would be either bluetooth(if availabe) or usb cable. I've never came across a solution for this 2 option yet. Sorry, no help.
