QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 20 2009, 11:35 PM) nice but quite expensive...most shops are selling a similarly designed stereo bluetooth headset like bh503 but from a different manufacturer..not nokia..sounds really good especially the bass..not sure about bh503 though.

QUOTE(faizpsp89 @ Mar 20 2009, 11:52 PM) actually frankly after listening it with my n96,i feel something is missing when i pair it with my 5800...but its ok la maybe n96 has a better DSP chip or more dsp chips if bh 503 compared to a wired headphone how? which is better.. QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 20 2009, 11:55 PM) from what i hear BH-503 have its own DSP chips build in right? even so i think that built in chips inside a phone has a major role in producing great sounds and the dsp in the bh503 (if there is one) only enhances it further.. i think..

QUOTE(echo.Garden @ Mar 20 2009, 11:58 PM) that chip is mainly to process audio that projected thru phone call, better quality on voice projection from phone call but stil cant compare with normal headphone. Normal Stereo Headphone: Price: * Value for money: ***** Quality:**** BH-503 Price: **** Value for money: *** Quality: ***** Added on March 20, 2009, 11:59 pmconclusion... get 503 if u're rich and got spare money dont mind giving it a try... dont get it if you wanna convince urself it's definitely worth every penny you pay for. yeah i get u now..the dsp in the bh503 is to process the sound because it's wireless..a wired headset doesnt have that because it's processed by the phone thus providing better sounds

from what i understand, the dsp chip inside any bt headset processes the incoming sound for it to be heard...but not necessarily to enhance the sound....
the dsp inside the phone is the main thing that determines whether the sound is good or not

192 kbps and 320kbps has a difference only if the original format of the recording is in 320kbps..
usually bass reproduction and treble is the main thing that differentiate between a good, bad or great sound for a headphone.

i think aspire is a girl = guy in real life Added on March 21, 2009, 12:24 amQUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 21 2009, 12:22 AM) does it matter ? hahaha? Just remember me as aspire Sigh cant make up my mind to get it or not. No place to demo it somemore. i think u should just get another wired headset..as the dsp in bh503 may not improve the sound quality This post has been edited by alpha_company: Mar 21 2009, 12:24 AM

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 21 2009, 12:26 AM) Hahaha so where does 5800 XM and BH503 falls with 256kbps mp3? the mp3 may be 256kbps...but maybe it was once 128kbps and then somebody else re-encode it to 256kbps..so no use...quality would be the same as 128kbps..and waste of space as 256kbps would be a bigger file but same quality...

yeah... basically, if you have good song files..get good headphones..
if you got great song files like flac, get great headphones..
but keep in mind that your phone is the main thing that determines sound reproduction...if crappo phone=crappo sounds..

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 21 2009, 12:33 AM) Since echo u very rich tested so many expensive headphones or earphones where does this fall? I guess ill just get it. As long as the sound is better then internal 5800XM DSP i will go for bh-503 the dsp on the bh503 wont make a difference as the dsp on the tube will process the sound and send it to the headset...it wont make the sound nicer..because if the sound aint nice on your wired X3i headset...then it surely wont be nice on the bh503..surely This post has been edited by alpha_company: Mar 21 2009, 12:38 AM

hmm... i think it depends on you... maybe if you like it u should buy it.. sound quality wise i think bh 503 is good but not great..but performance:price ratio imo it's not worth it. i would get a wired headset at the same price as the bh503..if it were me..

QUOTE(faizpsp89 @ Mar 21 2009, 12:44 AM) if your original mp3 is in 128kbps, 160kbps, 192kbps or what ever in between.. you dont need to RE-encode it to a higher kbps because the sound quality would still be the same and it would just take up more space.. i would suggest re-encoding a higher kbps mp3 file to 192kbps to save space and because usually it wont make a difference in quality.. because most people out there re-encode it from a lower kbps to a higher kbps..no use..
