hi guys, can i know whether i can use my UWAFP to enroll my studies in monash uni in mel for bachelor of science stream?what is the minimum marks to enter the uni?
*
hey adrian,

sure man why not? almost all the australian unis accept any foundation/year12 programs offered by an australian institution. if im not mistaken, UWAFP stands for Uni of Western Australia Foundation Program right? if yea, then there wouldnt be a problem.

just use this database to find ur minimum entry requirement as i dont know what stream you want to go into as science is quite a wide scope.

http://www.monash.edu.au/study/internation...s-database.html

from there press start, then they will ask u for the country, choose australia, then next. then find ur foundation program and select which science stream you want. voila! there you go, ur minimum requirement for the course u want.

That sure is ex. But no point for me to get cooking utensils if I'm only gonna be there for one semester...

I guess I can cut down on the drinks part. Maybe buy cereal and make my own sandwiches for lunch too. smile.gif
*
Nah, you can get em. They're cheap. Like seriously cheap, if you get them from Asian shops. But I'm sure they're all from China. Non-stick material might come off easily. I think I have plenty of it in my body already vmad.gif

Yeah, I always make sandwiches for lunch! Yes, try to stay off the expensive drinks too. But sometimes, you just can't resist that bloody pearl milk tea/bubble tea shop that is right smack in the MIDDLE of caulfield campus.

They got damn nice ones too. Haha. It is one of the best in fact... I know a lot of students tar pau 3 or 4 cups to take back to Clayton or wherever they stay (those who live out of Caulfield).

Im thinking to take Mathematics , Physics, Chemistry and Advance Maths since there is no combination for Maths , physics and advance maths in A-levels ( Taylors ). Will Advance Maths help me greatly when i take my engineering degree later on? PLease help!!! Thankss

2nd yr mechanical engineering student here, advance maths is not a compulsory, but it would be an advantage if u take it in A-level coz thr will b maths subject in 1st yr n there r some topics that u hv learned in advance maths so it will b very easy to handle.

wanna ask, is the fee the same for current students throughout the program? or does it increase every year, following the schedule?

It increases 2 - 10 % every year. But usually, they only implement a 2% increase.

OH my.. my offer letter got stuck thanks to nationwide express shakehead.gif the one from Australia got stuck, now the one from sunway also gets stuck. wtf.

Well i just want to inquire when does orientation commence for this coming intake? I had a heads up from my friend that there's something going on tomorrow. However, he isn't so sure himself. Anyone here care to shed some light?

Edit: Oh, another thing, i heard parking is dreadful in Monash. Anyone else who lives in KL willing to alternative suggest an alternative to driving?

Thanks in advance smile.gif

Dreadful in what sense...? It's alright so far. The free parking is fine if you come before 9am (get a place that's not so deep into the jungle). Your car might get abit muddy(on a rainy day) or dusty(if you park at the construction site) and if you're unlucky... you'll get insects.

Otherwise, the RM2 parking is convenient. It gets crowded between 11am to 2pm or so. As long as your classes start before that you shouldn't have any problems finding parking.

You could do what baoz suggested. Parking in the jungle is not that bad... never had any of those dusty/muddy/insecty incidences before. PLUS! That parking is shaded. Lol. Free SHADED parking, what else could you ask for xD

Or carpool. Many people carpool and meet new friends.

So all your offer letters got stuck? You applied to OZ and Sunway as well? biggrin.gif

@ ReaperOfSoul : It will help quite a bit. I took the same thing in Taylors also last time ;D Didn't get so good results and turned to Accounting/Finance for my bachelor.
