The Yen went up again, bad news for many emerging markets with carry traders possibly unwinding positions.

The sharp drop in the US dollar should return some funds into the emerging markets this week. *i hope*

anyone else looked at Kencana for today? big buying activity on friday.

Will be watching Kencana, TMI and maybe AMMB today.

KLSE might close a bit down today, since MYR-YEN and USD-YEN dropped a bit

i think this week's rally should have a some more legs. The volume is quite good today (570m in the morning already), and this time should have more foreign participants (based on looking at Yen-Ringgit and Yen-USD exchange rates)

All of you guys who are trading should really consider switching to Jupiter, only RM8 per trade, u can earn even if it just moves 1 pip.

Jupiter is not a nominee account, you get your own CDS smile.gif

So no worries even if jupiter close shop, just make sure you don't keep too much in their trust account if you are worried.

Btw, you also earn interest on the money in the trust.

Like someone said earlier, the only drawback is there is no leverage for this account, you must put in money before u can trade. (good for those of us who have itchy fingers, so that we don't trade with borrowed money)

Also, if you transfer your existing shares, you usually have to pay RM10 per counter , but jupiter will give u back the RM10 after u transfer to them.

i still have quite a good positive feeling about this rally.

Currently it seems to be testing the resistance at 910, didn't break it on friday due to the usual Friday profit taking, and worries about the US jobs data, but the volume is still really strong.

I think we should break 910 on monday and test the next resistance level at 930 in this week. The weak Yen should also be quite good for the CI

QUOTE(dreams_achiever @ Apr 5 2009, 12:27 PM)
Be careful. Dun over optimistic.
There are 3 elections ahead on Tuesday. Market rally will pause awaiting for election results.
If BN lose all 3 elections, imagine what will happen to KLSE? DOOM!  sweat.gif

i don't think the investors are that naive as to price in BN victories into the prices now, i think almost everyone is already expecting them to lose. BN's probable losses have probably been discounted in already, that's why our rally has been smaller than most of the other regional bourses.
