actually really suprised with the FCPO performance didnt expect it to rebound this quick and strong i.e. anything above RM 2K

if thats true than probably i revise my estimation from June to Dec 09 contracts...

but by year end there should still be a glut that might cause FCPO to dip probably the trend would be more obvious around july aug sep oct nov dec contract (peak cycle)

Yes, prepare the money if your wish to keep the OR, otherwise next week all money down to the drain.

There is no when, you can send it anytime, just send the subscription and money to the company registrar but must be sure before the date line.

purchased right issue price: 500 x 1.08 = 540

right issue exercise price: 2.74 (500 X 2.75 = 1370)

mother share: 3.940 (500 x 3.940 = 1970)

540+1370= 1910
1970-1910 = 60
this is the amount u will need to top up RM 60 in order to exercise the right issue ...

otherwise ...

ur right issue will become 0 value.

*someone corect me if i am wrong*

lol didnt read be4 i answer... anyway am i right to assume the above formula is what i need to pay in order to be entitled for the mother share?

Then my assumptions is wrong...i thought i could get the mother share at lower price = (1.08 + 2.74) = 3.82....while the mother share trade at 3.9++. Dont know that i would have to top up the difference between the mother share and the price of right..hehe..

Your assumption is right.

You'll get it cheaper than mothershare price if mother share is higher than OR price + 2.74

The rights went nil if you not exercise it by 20th April. You just treat it like warrant which almost expire loh.
If you want to exercise then please pay 17,000*2.74=RM46,580.
But serious, you bought so much?

I actually planning to buy considering maybank 52 weeks low @ 3.7 and the current market seems recovering bit by bit...was hoping for dividend at year end too...

btw..how much did maybank give last year...percentage wise...from maybank2u platform general info it says dividend yield is 0.13 which is 13% but report ended 30/6/08...ahaha

This year be prepared for lower dividend, because rights dilute profit, profit also take a hit from write down & less business.

I buy because they were beaten down by a lot, if cimb & pbb down by similar percentage (or even less than that percentage, mbb deserved the drop because their s**p*d actions, but I think that has overdone), I will go in also tongue.gif
