if you look into the map plan pic ,fkm and fkp is located on the bottom right corner.right hand side is the fkm and the left hand side is the fkp. these two faculties are the biggest fac. compare to other fac..

Just had a chat with my LI supervisor. I didn't know FKP dean changed to Dr Rizal already! And next sem FKP sharing the building near FTMK. Might have to do night classes too. Very kelam kabut.

What?night classes?omg....i hope this will not going to happen.....i hate to have classes at night.......last sem i had experience it before......it is tiring after so much lab classes in the morning and afternoon.
hope that this will only apply to fkp student but not the fkm student....then,i can whistle all day long to celebrate

night class huh??
i never have any night class at main campus although i study there for 3 year.. policy changes? i don't think so..

last sem i took japanese language from 8pm-10pm. i had no transport and i have to face a dilemma : wait for the bus and go back to the hostel for taking a bath/eat or stay at campus from morning 8am-11++pm.by the time i reach my hostel,it is about 11.45pm if i take the bus.
just imagine this will still happen again for the following sem: everyday travel from our hostel to the main campus.....

access to main campus is restricted from 1900 till 0700

for main campus, all class will end before 1800.. if i not forgoten the last bus will be 1830...(2 years ago..)

However due to the closing down of Cubic and Fasa B, the fact that all FKP, FKM and FTMK will be studying at main campus means that there is a severe logistical problem with not enough classrooms to go around. Although it's still being planning, one of the lecturer in charge of facilities planning informed me that it is quite possible for night classes to happen, although probably not for FKE and FKEKK students as they have their own buildings already.

I hope there are no night classes as well. But I recall some lecturers always like to be absent from classes then call for replacement at night, or some event will happen and force us to take night classes. That won't happen anymore with cubic closing down. Can you imagine the carnage if lecturers are not allowed to do replacement classes at night? This is something they will need to figure out, fast, because night classes have been a staple part of my diet for the past 3 years, mostly due to replacements. Senang senang dahulu, susah susah kemudian mah =)

Every year when new students arrive, it's always fun to watch them struggle with bus, then abandon the system alltogether during their second year. Some even cannot stand it and bring a car over during their 1st year second sem.

Not sure how terrible the bus situation is nowadays, but I'm sure every senior you ask will have their own horror stories to tell you. My senior used to brag to me that UTeM has the largest fleet of busses in all of Malaysia. It sounded nice, but like everything else, cakap tak serupa bikin =P

trust me, it's like a pain from the moment i study, till i already grad.. no improvement, if u have class at main campus, u will die soon if the time not right

Maybe they should revise the starting thread to include starting salaries for fresh grad? I have a feeling many who want to join this industry just want to go for the money, so a lot of questions will be repeated (ala, is this pay good, how is it compared to other companies, etc etc).

Anyway I agree that you should always look towards the future, you have to start somewhere and 2.3K isn't terrible, although it's not terribly great either but it will depend on what you are doing. Construction project is diff from going to offshore project. For one thing, you don't have to travel in a helicopter that can crash into the sea.

If you think the current manufac job has good career progression, then stick with it. For ONG its a different experience and you'll probably have to start all over again and climb the ladder from the bottom, just like everybody else.

Unless u got cable to enter Petronas lah.

btw, where you get the news that cubic and fasa B will closing down? when it start?
i tot it will be start on early 2010.. i dunno policy changed...

Heard from Dean himself. FKP dean also change to Rizal already. The whole Cubic and Fasa B no more, all shifting to Durian Tunggal. Some say FTMK AI will shift to kampus bandar. Very chaotic now, haha.

It's not so much a policy change as consolidating I guess. Rental for cubic too expensive already I guess. This way the uni can save money. I also having my internship now ma, haha. Ask your lecturer who visiting you these few days for more info la.

my lecturer visit last month lo.. oh no... need share class room lo.. normally i conquer the empty class room when no lecture.. now no more king lo..

Haha I don't think can get that anymore. Plus DT library + comp lab is so lame! Really thinking about what I am going to do there if got 2-3 hour gap...go back cannot, stay there also cannot.

from an unconfirmed source, fkp will be sharing with fkekk while fkm is going to share faculty with fke..just have to wait for next semester to confirm wether its true
