For the second consecutive year, the Federation of Malay Alliance (GABEM) is organizing the MALAYSIA REAL ESTATE & INVESTMENT EXHIBITION 2009 (MAREIX 09) on 11-12 July 2009 at the Foyer, Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with the National Real Estate Convention 2009.

GABEM was officially launched by the Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi on 6 June 2006, as one of the government’s efforts in encouraging more Bumiputeras to engage in business under the 2nd Generation Bumiputera Commerce and Industry Community (MPPB-G2) to ensure the wealth of the country is distributed fairly and equitably among all races in the country.
MAREIX 09 is a showcase of Malaysian and selected international real estate, covering residences, commercial and industrial buildings, office spaces, resorts and hotels and land, with focus on the economic corridors –Northern Economic Corridor (NCER), East Coast Economic Corridor (ECER), Iskandar Malaysia Development Region in the south, Sabah Development Corridor (SDC) and Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) - which are the cornerstone of the government’s planning to develop the country further.
The Prime Minister is expected to officially open the Convention on 10 July 2009 while the closing will be officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister.
