Why don't you give the stranger a visit and check up his document.
I guess the landlord owe money and the property is taken back by the bank and sell through lelong. The faster you check it's true, quickly stop payment to the previous lanlord. The worst could happen: losing your rental and utility deposit. |

chances is that the new landlord may have successfully bought the property vide auction and completed the transaction. If he can serve you a eviction/request of VP notice, he is exercising his legal right as the new owner.
Of course, for security purpose, get the relevant documents from the new landlord for verification, to check whether is a court order ( perintah mahkamah ...) or jes a notification letter from Lawyer. Please bear in mind, even court order or letter from lawyer may be fraudulent. Most of default borrowers will not admit the fact that their property being auction off/in the mid of auctioning. likely that your existing landlord is avoiding the fact If you have signed a valid tenancy agreement with the existing Landlord, bring it up and discuss with the new landlord if you intend to continue staying or at least have more times to vacant the house. Added on March 19, 2009, 1:31 pm QUOTE(jasonhanjk @ Mar 19 2009, 01:09 PM) Police are best at handling civil case. Never heard them solving landlord tenant dispute. well, police do handle landlord tenant issue, such as Court eviction order when the landlord need to have the police to accompany them to break in the property.I wonder is the a small court for such trival matter? If this goes to lower court, all parties will lose out. This post has been edited by bearbearhong: Mar 19 2009, 01:31 PM |
